Hiat Pontiac, on Pacific Ave. in Tacoma, is having a big 2004 GTO Promotion on Saturday, June 12th.
Hiatt Pontiac is one of our clubs sponsors - see their add on our website: http://www.northwestlegends.com/sponsors.php Dean Carpenter from Hiatt Pontiac contacted me a few days ago to discuss this event. He expressed that he would love to see at least 6 of our club's GTO's parked there at the dealership next to the 2004. He'd greatly appreciate at least one '64 GTO - and the rest is totally up to what we can put together. They have supported us with their sponsorship, and it would be good to make our appearance there as well. Those that supported Huling Brothers' Promo will agree that it was a fun and successful event with a lot of attention. Let's do it again in June. I'll be there to photograph the event, since I don't yet own a GTO.
So far on my "tentative" list of participants:
Bob Black - 1968 GTO
Gary Tischer - 1964 GTO
Brandon Warren - 1966 GTO
Mike Buzard - 1969 GTO
Ted Knapp - 1964 GTO
Steve & Charlene Ferkovich - 1966 GTO
So far that's 6. I'd like to get up to 10 - just in case there are people who can't make it. Please comment here, or contact me if you're interested. Your attendance would be most appreciated. I will be contacting those on this list with more details as they become available to me. So far we know that the event starts at 10:00 AM, lasts most of the afternoon, the owner of the car can leave with his/her keys if they wish (in other words the car won't need to be moved), provisions 'may' be made (I'll confirm this) if the car needs to be parked the night before - in a covered and locked area, the area will be closed on Sunday, so the car will need to be taken home some time Saturday. More details to come. For now, here's a map incase you're not sure where this is:
