[/b]I am new to this system but I am currently restoring a 65 Convertable. I have been collecting parts and books on GTOs since I was in high school. My question is, has anyone out there dealt with this company called The Parts Place. I am looking at purchasing their wood steering wheel, rally gauge cluster and rally wheel set. I just want to know the quality of the goods. I will be making the trip down to the Tiger Run for my first time and was hoping to see some steering wheels and gauges. I was also thinking about heading down from the Vancouver area to join in at one of the Legend meeting nights and want to know if you take in members from Canada. Thanks new friends, Matt

Hey, these guys will have *anyone* in their club. After all, they accepted me and I'm from Vancouver Island. :P

Hey Matt, I've seen one of the steering wheels and I thought it looked real good. I've also seen some parts from the parts place that I wouldn't put on a wrecked car. I think it's in your best interest to find someone with the parts you're looking for and inspect them yourself, and as far as the club goes, the first Saturday of the month is usually the day of the meeting. I believe the June meeting is at a different location than usual, so be sure check on that before you make the trip down. Later, Tiger run here we come,,, Stefan.

Welcome to the forum Matt. We look forward to seeing you at Tiger Run.
What Shack said is true. I know lots of folks that do it that way, check everything out personally before buying.

Other good places to consider for parts like this, whether reproduction or not, are Ames and Performance Years. Some folks have good luck on Ebay. I have gotten a few things from Ebay without incident
