Northwest Legends Club Meeting Minutes
(May 1, 2004)

MEETING OPENED:

Meeting called to order at 4:20 pm by Denny Deal, President of the Northwest GTO Legends Club.

SPECIAL INTRODUCTIONS:

Mike Santella introduced a guest:
(1) Ken Sonne

SECRETARIES REPORT:

Wally Santella gave Secretary Report. Last month’s minutes were summarized, details posted on club web site.

OLD BUSINESS:

(1) Denny provided more details about Vintage Vehicle TV:
- Received Vintage TV Contract and will sign up for the $600.00 package.
- Membership will receive DVD copies for their use.

(2) Lonnie talked about some last minute surprises with the “hot-line” system. The cost, which includes a 43 cents/call added cost will bring the monthly total cost to $45. Denny made decision to table this idea for further discussion.

(3) Wally talked about Car Clinic at Denny’s Warehouse. Good turnout, helpful to a lot of people. Good facility and everything worked really well. Wally encouraged more people to participate, both gearheads to provide technical help and other members who need things done on their cars. Another clinic event will be planned for this summer.

(4) Mike Santella talked about the Huling Brothers Car Dealership gathering that included a number of club members and their cars (on display on the front row of the Dealership). It worked well for Hueling to help promote their 2004 GTO and brought in more sponser money for the Club.

(5) Steve Martin gave an update on the Northwest Legends/Goat Heard Pinic. The Goat Herd membership has approved this event, and have initially scheduled for Saturday, August 21st. It will be located at Forrest Park picnic area in Centralia. More details will be provided at our next meeting.

TREASURES REPORT:

Lonnie Santella, gave Treasurer’s Report:
(1) Announced current balance of Club’s bank account of $4,299.89

NEW BUSINESS:

(1) Denny talked to the membership about helping with gathering info/pictures so that we can get events covered for the Club Newsletter. Denny suggested that each event sponsor also make an effort to capture information for an article in the Newsletter.

(2) Denny talked about Tiger Run. Caravan groups will meet on Thursday and Friday, with general departure times of 9:00am. Brad Barrie made suggestion that Club should contribute $150 to the Kelly Long Barbecue. Membership approved.

(3) Denny announced that the June 5th Club Meeting would be held at Galliano’s Cucina, located at 16435 Military Road South in SeaTac. Meeting will start at 4:00pm.

(4) Denny announced that the July 3rd Club Meeting would be held at the TripleXXX Drive-In in Issaquah. Mandatory to bring any car pictures that you have.

(5) Kendall Whitlatch talked about the need for volunteers to sign-up to help with Rainier Run this year. Kendall will be coordinating volunteers for Lara Majors, who is the event sponsor.

(6) Lonnie Santella talked about the Hiatt Dealership, who also wants to have at least 6 GTO’s for a Saturday get together to help promote 2004 GTO. Anyone interested, contact Lonnie, who will coordinate.

(7) Gary Tischer talked about his troubles getting the new 2004 GTO that he ordered. The latest status: the car is still in Australia and they are not sure when it will be delivered.

(8) The 50/50 Raffel was won by Denny Deal
