Tiger Run Friday Morning Convoy

Unfortunately, I won't be able to drive down Thursday so I'm wondering if there are others that are planning to drive down Friday morning.

I for one will be driving down on Friday and Kevin D is too. I believe others will be in fact the norm is the friday drivers all meet at the park and ride by McDonalds where hwy 512 and I-5 meet in Tacoma/Lakewood and leave at around 9AM. I get off work at 8AM though and I'm hoping that they'll wait a few extra minutes though.
I bet though that since Kevin D will be waiting for us at Lacey that anyone in that area could meet up with us as we fly through. I'll be carrying a talkabout as is Kevin so we'll be in contact as we get close to Lacey. If anyone in that area would like to arrange a place to meet there that would work.
If all works out I'll be taking two this year. uhmmm wonder who would like to drive the second one? 2nd car TBA

Like Al says, I'll be joining the convoy in the south sound. Al and I are buying talk-a-bout radios (5 milers) from Wal-Mart. $40.00. If you guys have them, or plan on buying them we can all get on the same channel (38 channels to pick from)for the trip.. Or even for cruises round here.. I think they would be ok for things like that.

Please count me in on meeting up with you guys. I'd prefer to run with escort in case of a breakdown. (never!!!) :D

Not sure Kendall.. Im looking now.. I think there are certain freqs that are set aside for the familiy radios. Im going with Motorola.. Just cause of the brand name. The 5 mile ones have certain channels that are for public.. and some private ones.. 38 total I think. Target had the best price of the Motorolas 5 milers so far of 38 bucks (singles).. My Wal-Mart or Shopko didnt carry them. We'll figure something out by next meeting and if we get something we'll get on the same freqs then. They should work out ok..

LOL, Amos is going to drive the pinkster. Hopefully the pinkster will sell long before then and I can get the '66 ready, if not then perhaps the pinkster will go.

We are looking at heading out Friday. Sure would be nice to see all the gtos come accross the bridge.
