'64 Deluxe Dome Light w/Map Light

The chrome housing on my dome/map light needs rechroming. Does anyone know how to remove the rotating map light portion? I need to remove it so I can take the lense out and then have the two pieces plated.

Are they anything like the map lights found in a '67? I've got a pair of them here that I can look at.

Some pictures would be helpful if you've got them.
