Our own Shleprock Racing's Dave Kennedy proves that he can outsmile everybody with a shot to make his dentist proud.

A moment of silence please as we bow down to the fastest GTO in the NW GTO Legends club.
Member Dan Willms with his "Class of 66" SD Performance alcohol burning 9 second GTO.
Whoooooa.

Here's Dan coming down the return lane after a pass that would make most human beings "sheet their drawerz"
Note the 9.38 dial in, gonad central.....

A Fast Company meeting sharing some strategy, or just wondering when in the hell are they going to fix the staging lights. (Busted for an hour)

My god what a sighting...
John Pearson's 68 sees the daylight for an excursion to the annual BOP.
Entering the show he displays his new "Man made" BFG redlines & his new Flowmasters with dumps.

Excellent JP.

Oh, what have we here. THE JUDGE makes it out of cocoon staus for the first time since May.
I almost forgot how good it felt to drive a GTO. What a great day.

What a nice surprize. Mike-D our main man outta Precision Speedworks, a familiar wrench & GM perfomance guru behind the scenes shows up to make a pass in his 1400 hp blown Chevelle "SYKORAT".

Mitch "Shortpants" Bleitz brings his long pants this year & clicks off another hot lap. Mmmmmn, the smell of rubber.

John "PIG" Pignataro rolls down the return road as he gets kicked off the track for running in the 11's with no cage. Sounds like a good problem to have.

Legends racers show their love.
It is an emotional thing & love does fly when you mix Pontiac racers with tire smoke & the smell of race gas. It's a Tim Taylor thing.

caught in the act Reed Racing makes some "modifications" to the wheel wheel wells of his mighty 66. Note his tool of choice for this daunting task.

While most smile for the camera, Reed Racing paints the true picture of his feelings.
What a beautiful shot of a man on a mission.

A true scientist of the dragstrip, Shleprock Racing studies his timeslips like they were winning LOTO numbers.
Probably why the veteran Shlep always ends up in the final eliminations.

Shortpants' 67 GTO relaxing after a trip down the quarter mile.

THOR decides that the best place for his show winning 12 second "Judge gone bad" is to throw it in the weeds between runs.
That way the car knows who's boss. What a faithful chariot the mighty THOR has.

theJUDGE

THOR's Judge leaves the line on another mid 12 second run down the 1320. Pretty impressive 4 speeding out of the THOR camp as he clicks off consistent 12.60's rowing through his M22.

This is what is known as the THOR SHUFFLE.
Apparently he does this pseudo moon dance-crab walk prior to all 1/4 mile passes. THOR maintains this helps his body adapt to the best dexterity possible for the hand-to-foot-to-eye 4-speed powershifting runs.

Just look at him in action.

Well ther you have it folks. Special thanks go out to Chuck Beistline for putting on the mighty awesome Burrito-Chili feed as well.
Due to the track staging breaking down & killing time, we all arrived to the Chuckles place after dark, which limited the photo opportunities.

I can attest a good time was had by all.

See ya next year............. 8) 8)

Very Good captions, thanks for the great pics Mark.
A buddy of mine came with me to do a little video. He was a film major in college by the way.

He shot my first run against a 10 second Trans Am (which ended up winning the brackets when all was said and done by day's end). Anyway, the 10 second T/A hammered me off the line and beat me by two seconds, no suprise. So my buddy has this video on his digital V/R and whips it out at Ray's Cafe the other night to show some family and friends. Now everybody thinks I have a slow car
I told them my opponent was driving a race car. They said, no it wasn't it was a Trans Am ! Doh ! I'll have to teach them some more on the difference between a car that drives to the track to race and a car that runs open headers and gets to the track on a trailer :?

As a first-timer to the any BOP event, I really enjoyed seeing some seriously fast cars and then combine that with them being our fellow club members...it was great!

Congrats to Diana for making not only her first t/o pass but a bad-ass burnout!

I really enjoyed it - thanks guys!

Did anyone catch a picture of my car coming off the starting line? My regular crew guys were unable to attend the race, and I am wondering how high the front wheels were going and how much the chassis was twisting.

Positive - Danny Boy on the wheels up and chassis flexing. A 9.38 on the brakes are you kidding??? I can't wait till next Spring. We may have to start a new club,
