Gas gauge needle [Archive]

I dont drive my 68 much, I just start it up and let it run reg. One day i started it up the checked the gas gauge and to my suprise the needle was nowhere to be seen.. :( Can this be fixed ?

Do you mean that the needle fell off?

More than likely it can be fixed.

Well I have not messed with it yet, But that is what I believe happend.

Bill,

Check the sending unit first, on the tank, before you dig into the guage.
If the wire fell off the terminal, the needle could fall.
