Here is an Year One article documenting a resortation on a Ram Air IV 4 speed Balck on Black 69 GTO. It should be interesting to follow along?

Thought some of you may find it as interesting as I did.

WOW! That'll be one beautiful car when it's done. It's still in tiny bits but it's already nicer than my car!

Yeah, just amazing what a little (Boat load) of money can do?
I don't know IF I could go that far with a restoration, even IF I had that kind of money and time to play with... I'd be afraid to drive it... but then again IF, I had that kind of money, it would be no big deal... I guess it's all relative?
Yes, it looks incredible so far!

Hey Stef, will this get you going on your RAIV.

There's dreamin' and there's reality. Stef's flawless dream sits unassembled in his garage. Reality is an ass-kickin' 64 lemans in primer, not to mention a 64 tempest as a driver. Why should he ruin such a good dream, a killer sleeper, and a fun driver?
Okay, Stef, by the monkey bars during afternoon recess? I'll be there. And remember, 64's rule! In addition, I've got more 64's than you do. And my 69 will roll around, if I push it. I hope Reed Racing can tell me the difference between a "pimp slap" and a "bitch slap".

Brett,
Dunno what you're talking about. I was afraid of touching your Bird for fear of leaving a finger print. It's a beautiful car and you still drive it. Why would this one be any different? :)
The wife says that if I land a non-contract job anywhere, I can have the 100-day-sabatical cash to spend on my car.
Anybody got a full-time position for your basic computer jack of all trades?

A pimp slap is a backhand slap across the face to keep the hoes in order.
A bitch slap is to open handedly slap someone in the face, because they are disrespecting. :x
Are there anymore questions? :?:

Reed Racing: that was the funniest post I have read in a long time. Right on the money I might add.
Red Rider: I disagree. Stefan has all the opprtunity in the world to start on his RAIV Judge. This life is not a dress rehearsal. The sooner he rolls his sleeves up is the sooner he can walk up to the podium at Tiger Run & accept his best of show.

Reed Racing, thank you for that explanation. I fully understand the concept. There are two sides to that discussion.
"The Judge" You are right, this is no dress rehearsal. And, Stef has started on the Judge. The frame is pretty in black. About all the suspension parts are assembled. It is that darn body work that creates so many problems. On that Resto unit, I get the feeling that they started with an awfully nice looking car. While they are doing the underside on the rotisserie, you are able to see some apparently flawless rear quarters. Moreover they didn't detail how to replace floors, etc. Most of us would probably be more than happy to have what they started with as a finished car.

Well if you're in for a penny you might as well get pounded by the club members - right Stef! My '69 has been off-frame and I have suffered with poor choices of bodymen but I still believe it is the right way to go. I would hate to finish a car only to have brake line go, or some such mishap. That being said - It's been a long 3 years

Hey, the Judge is making a real nice shelf right now, not sure where I'd put the stuff if I had to move it. :? But really, I'm in the process of finishing up a body rotisserie that I hope to have the car on this winter. I'm hoping for a late 2005 early 2006 date with the road....... fingers crossed.

Well, you know that if you need help, an excuse, or moral support, all you have to do is give out a shout. I'll do what I can to be there.
Sounds to me like we need to do something like a friend of mine is doing:
She calls them interventions. A bunch of them gather at one person's house for the weekend. They take care of all the "little" projects that never seem to get done. The next weekend, another person gets hit. They keep doing this till all the stuff that has been frustrating the h*ll out of them is done.
Now I know that housekeeping is a little different from auto restoration but there are many of us that have most of the parts and just need a little motivation to get it done.
ok... I'll get off my soap box now...

The motivation is $$$$$$$$$$$$$$.
