This is long overdue, but here goes...
First I want to thank my fellow 2004 Club Officers for all their help last year. It was a privilege to work with a board like you, and I appreciate everything you did. Denny, your ideas were terrific and this club saw some new successful events and venues thanks to you. Two words, baby: "Car Clinic" (http://www.northwestlegends.com/gallery/clinic0404) - doesn't that just give you goose bumps? There was always an air of professionalism and a feeling of assurance that details would all get ironed out when you were on the scene. Wally (a.k.a. GodFather, a.k.a. pops) - Wally saw, and Wally said "it was gooooood." He said it over and over, and wrote it down, month after month! A club's history speaks for itself, and the GodFather made sure our history was accurately recorded. He and wife-Ann also worked hard to make sure our 2004 Holiday Banquet was a success. Big thanks also to Steve Martin and club Chairman John Pearson for your support and efforts to help ease the work load all year long.
Now, a hearty Northwest GTO Legends congratulations to our 2005 officers! President John Pearson: A'tta boy JP! Thanks for stepping up to the plate once again. Your reputation precedes you as an excellent prez, and an authority on this club. Welcome again! Vice Prez Gary "Boom Boom" Tischer: I'll look forward to your rosy cheeks distinguished laughter each and every club meeting. Someone give this man a microphone! Secretary.... what's this? Wally "The GodFather" Santella again??? Thank you GodFather, it's not easy being the hand of history every month, but you do it like it's nobody's business. Last but certainly not least, Treasurer: Amber Engen! Amber, thank you for taking on this responsibility. It's terrific to see new blood in here, and after having worked the booth with you, there's no doubt you'll do a fantastic job. Now if I can just find that piggy bank....
Thanks again officers of old and new! May 2005 be the best year so far! After all, it is the 40th anniversary of the best musclecar ever made! ;)
