18th Annual NW Muscle Car Meet DVD

I am working on the DVD of the Muscle car meet that was talked about in another thread. I started this thread to try to get all the names of members that want one in one place that is easier to keep track of. I am adding some "special features" to the DVD and one of those will be a slide show of the pictures that Lonnie took at the meet. Most of the recently built set top DVD player should be able to play these, but there might be some of the older ones that may not.

So what I need from you is a list of names of those that want a DVD of thier very own :-) If all those that said they wanted one in the other thread would repost here that would help, and those that didn't get a chance then now is your chance.

Haven't heard what happened to the DVD of last year's Muscle Car Show. Anyone know the status?

That's an excellent question. Mark Bilyeu was working on these, but I haven't heard from him in a long time, nor have I seen him at the meetings. Hey Mark, you out there brother?

I'm here! I have been working two remodels at once, and did another in Arizona since the last time we talked, and now have to go to AZ again for another one. I have the DVD about ready to start burning copies, the menu and footage is done, I was trying to hook up with Bob Botkins to get some video to add to it, but have been burning the midnight oil trying to get done with the jobs here so I can head to AZ, and we haven't hooked up. Bob, maybe we can meet somewhere on the way to work, one job is in Edmonds, and the other on the weekends is in Renton. I don't think I'll be able to make the meeting this weekend, unless I sneak out for some materials and swing by.

Good deal Lonnie, I'll try to sneal away from work Sat. and get to the meeting to pick it up. I am anxious to get the finished project to the group as I am sure they would like to see it. Man... Ok Guys and Gals, after spending 3 months in Arizona, I finally got back and had a little time to finish off this DVD. It isn't exactly as I wanted but it works for me. I have 30 copies burned and will take them to the meeting Sat. If I need more let me know. If all get taken Sat I will try to burn more for the show on Sun if I have enough time.

I'd just like to say that Mark B came over to my house today and left me a cool present. A Musclecar Meet DVD!! Being as I'm the first to have one let me just say, it's pretty frickin' cool!! It's too bad we can't sell them. If we had a tv/dvd set up at the show on sunday we could probably sell a ton of them. I'll leave the special features a mystery, but check them out. GREAT JOB MARK!!

Update...

I burned more DVD's last night, for a total of 48 including Johns. I ran out of DVD's or I would have done more. I will pickup more blanks tonight in case we run out at the meeting so there will be some at the show on Sunday if you can't make the meeting. I made a signup sheet to fill out when you pickup a copy, that way we know that all that asked for one gets one, it will be at the meeting and the show with the DVD's, please fill it out as you pick up your copy. Members that can't make either the meeting or the show, should post here that they need one mailed so you can get one, and we will put you on the list of mailers.

This has been a fun project to do, and my small way of contributing to the club. Although I didn't do everything the way I wanted to do, I learned a few things.

On a seperate note...

If anyone has a video camera (hopefully digital, but analog will work) and feels like shooting at the show on Sunday, I will assemble and edit your video along with the video I do for a DVD of this years show. Digital stills work too. I will have my laptop at the show and can copy from your memory card before you leave the show if you want. We could include the show sponsors in the credits, maybe even some short spots for the sponsors? I'm open to ideas!

I just bought a 2005 and ran the Rainier Run and just sent in my membership check, but I'm in Oregon and can't make the Sat meeting or Sunday Muscle Car Meet. Dang.

I forgot to even ask around at the show! (Got sidetracked by all the nice cars!) So if you need me to get you a few DVD's I just bought two towers of them! And I'd gladly trade you a couple for a copy? Now... how can I catch up with you in order to get one? You wouldn't be going to the All Pontiac Show on Sun would you? Or would anyone who is be able to drop one off? Just tossing out ideas here?....
