Ok Gents I have been after a GTO for a long time but ended up with Buick GS's, a 69 Hurst Olds, a drop top 60 Electra 225,Mopars,Mercury's etc.
Now I have a good excuse to force the GTO issue though as I took a brand new balanced and blue printed 69 GTO motor and trans in on a trade.
Gee, now all I need is a car! I know of a 69 Judge that has been on my wish list for years but the owner wants 5 grand for it and it has plants growing in it!
Any suggestions guys? I'd like a decent body (about a 6 on a scale of 10) possibly without the motor to keep costs down (way down ugh!).
Ok, you want to see the GTO Judge "Planter"? Ok, let's see if I can post it. Talk about environmentally friendly! They could hug there trees, WHILE they pollute heh heh! ;D

Real shame AND he wanted over 15 grand for this one! Just letting it rot away.

both of these look like a lot of work and money iinvested to to complete them, I would look for a better car because it will save you money in the long run. :(

Yes sir G. Reed I saw the "money pit" part under your name so I know you have been there too.
Thats why I was so happy to stumble across you guys tonight on a search engine.Believe it or not I typed in "GTO for sale cheap" and fortunately someone had used those words in an ad and here I am.
From the little I've seen, it appears most everyone is reasonable with the prices I saw. Now I just need the perfect combination of the right 69 body at the right price. ;D
Sure would love a four speed too. 8)

69 Judge looks decent on the outside, but if it's got plants growing inside, the floor pans are gone. Good luck with the hunt.

Show me pics of the Hurst/Olds :o :o
Man that is one car that i'd like to have someday. It has 1969 written all over it! Love the loud scoop, white and gold, a true musclecar.

He is equally nuts on that one wanting 15,000! I'm just going to wait him out and try and get all of them at a later date.

Hmm, Is their anything special about that Judge? Besides the cord of wood you get when you buy it for 15k? RAIV maybe?
Otherwise. it's too bad. It's going to become a garden gnome at that price.

Sorry but I don't know all the different Ram Air motors yet, but he did go on about how it was particularily rare, but I don't recall the motor designation.
I was to busy standing there with my mouth hanging open looking at the tree (now removed) that bashed across the windshield AND stayed that way for at least 2 years! Then there was the serious lower panel rust everywhere that he said "Was no problem" because he had the car painted a few years ago (whatever the HE double hockey stick that meant as it was obviously badly rusted again to the most casual glance).
Anyhow PROGTO asked for a Hurst Olds picture so I'll oblige him.Think I'll send one of the other guys from the H/O registry's car picture as mine still hasn't been striped yet.
Yeh, PROGTO I luv those mailbox hood scoops and Cessna airplane inspired rear spoiler!
I'm just now checking out the shots of those goats in the trees. Bring a chainsaw is right!
How nice that ferns are growing in the passenger compartment. So homey a feeling when stuck in traffic jams :P

Here's mine the day I brought it home with my youngest son clowning around inside the scoops.
I wonder one day if he will brag about his Dad having one of these he helped on ,and remembered he could put his whole arms in the Forced Air scoops? ;)
If not he will definitely remember riding in it when I get this thing back out on the street after a long long sleep.
Boy, I can't stand the wait, Tic Toc Tach, Hurst Dual gate, spoiler and giant hoodscoops, a "banned" but installed anyway 455 V-8 AND someone has built it up on top of the factory numbers (like it needed it! heh heh)
Too much is just enough though.Right?

We DID "bring a chainsaw" for this one! I didn't find some extra batteries for my camera until after my 2 sons and I cut the cedar tree (in foreground) off this 4 speed Judge.
Now I don't mind this knid of work !;D

Boy those are SUPER COOL cars, the '69 H/O had everything right in my book. So what stage is your resto at? The car as found looked fairly complete. A bit rough, but mostly there right? Keep us posted & Thanks!
