Kinda last minute, but a few of us are getting together this evening for a little muscle cruise. Elliott Bay Brewing Co. and a little west Seattle action. Looking like we'll meet around 6:30 or so on Alki. Call mark D. or I for the latest. Brandon, Mitch you still in???

Let's see. That was 2 and a half hours ago and the drive is 3 and a half hours to get there. That makes me 6 hours late if I left now... It's a real bummer living far away from the action.

Well on the flipside Dan, the action is in your backyard as soon as the Java Hut & Mission kicks in!
There is no cruise nights here, none.
So the Java Hut will be our closest destination this spring & summer for Hot Rod action on the Friday evenings.

You guys are awesome.
It was a great night of cruising West Seattle, outdoing ricers, and waking up senior citizens that had gone to bed way too early anyway. We commandeered a parking area and designated it as "detroit iron only" while hitting the Elliot Bay Brewing Company. We cruised again for a nightcap of Harp Lagers at The Celtic Swell and called it a night. Great idea Brad. Thanks to all that made it a fun evening.

Indeed it was cool, great to have the Muscle out under the moon.
Don't forget the Husky Ice Cream Cones in between Brew Pub stops.
Now Brad, post some pics!

Ahh Yes, Sorry dudes.
A great time was had by all that attended our little 80's flashback cruise on Alki Point in West Seattle last Saturday night. It was kinda short notice but with such awesome weather in February, the legends were definitely up for a little Motown Muscle shakedown.
We decided to meet up at the Alki marina around 6:30 PM. I rolled in with the '69 H/O, followed by Thor and the Silver Chariot '70 Judge. Soon after, Reed Racing arrived in his Audi (The Judge was down with alternator woes and the '66 was blocked in the garage). The Rev., Mark D. rolled in with the blue '70 Judge soon after. Then, Brandon Warren rumbled in with his '66, followed by Denny "The Real" Deal in his tripower '65 GTO.
The rice burners were already there checking each other's undercar neon lighting when the serious iron arrived. They kinda felt out of place and vacated the premesis giving much respect to our vintage musclecars.

We all hung out for awhile to get a game plan while we waited to see if Mrs. Doubtfire A.K.A Mitch "Short Pants" Bleitz would be joining us.
It was decided to cruise the Ave., then rumble up the side streets to the Elliott bay brewing Company for a nice dinner and brews. The Rev. Mark D. led the pack as he knows the winding hills and backstreets of the area very well................having cruised this hallowed ground throughout the 80's. I'm sure he fogged up many a window at the various "inspiration points" we cruised through on the way.
As I followed the group it was becoming very evident that Thor was having some traction issues. It was a contagious kind of thing, as the H/O kept having the same issues

We rolled along California Avenue, a 5-some of thundering muscle, shuddering windows and drawing alot of attention. The elderly were afraid to cross the street, dogs hid under benches, and kids thought we were race cars.
We ended up finding some nice spots behind the brewery to rest the muscle.
The food was awesome, as were the brews. Indeed, The Rev even pitched the "corporate beer", and had a Hef. All was good.
The Rev. was then reminiscing of the days when his dad would take him across the street to Husky Ice Cream for a 15 cent cone. So we decided to wander across the street and do a cone. The blackberry cheesecake was grrreat. Mark had his standby, licorice flavor on the waffle cone.

We then rolled out onto California, menacing the streets again, causing much commotion as we cruised again down the winding roads back to Alki. Mitch was still thinking of joining us so we headed for Spuds to park and wait for our compadre.

We discovered this cool pub, the Celtic Swell, just down the street, and headed there for the last call.
Thanks to everyone for coming out on such a nice night. It was great time and we'll have to put this together again.
Rock On!

Was a blast to ride shotgun in Brandon's 66 and Mark D's Judge. Maybe next time I'll have the Judge ready for the next cruise. I like the last minute thrown together cruise. Nice burnout Brad in the Hurst/Olds when leaving.

Yeah, and it's too bad Royal Botkin couldn't join us either.
He could have brought out his new cruisin' rig...........
