TREASURES REPORT:
Amber Engen gave the Treasures Report, announcing the Club’s current balance at $1,920.37..
OLD BUSINESS:
1. Tsunami Relief Fund Raiser. Wally and Brent West addressed the membership and provided an update on the status of the Unicef Fund Raising effort. Because of the late start to this effort, it was decided that it would not be feasible to plan and execute a major car show to raise funds for this organization in 2005. There were too many issues (contracting with one of the exhibition buildings, underwriting the cost, getting commitments from the different car clubs, securing volunteers, etc.) to resolve and still meet the short time commitments. Wally and Brent recommended that they continue the ground work and analysis and plan to put this show on for 2006.
2. Wally and Amber addressed the subject of the membership renewal procedure and the fact that there was some confusion as to how this works. Lonnie Santella gave an explanation for the changes that were made in 2004 to sync the membership dues renewal so that all members would renew on an annual basis that starts as of January 1st of of each year and pre-announcements would start going out the membership starting in October. The suggestion was made to have Amber and Wally compose a letter requesting membership renewal dues for 2005, and to send it out to all members.
