Gary,
thanks for the response.
Perhaps, I would still like to take a drive to see your '66.

But owning a nice Marina Tuquoise 66 4 speed before, I got this burning desire for a 67, I keep these reasons why circling around in my noggin.

Something about the 67 GTO trips my trigger & hopefully I'll find one in the combination that works for me.

GTO_AL tells me he may be selling his plumb mist. As you know, it's a beaut. He also has a real cool project 67, but you'll really have to pry it out of his hands! Hey, Al, whatever happened to that gold 67 that roamed around Ft Lewis???? That was a nice unmolested 67.

Al's car is a beauty!

However, I am not seeing Mark in it...sorry. No offense Mark...something about you and plum mist...you definitely need blue...it's your thing! :)

My two cents...

Yeah AL can't sell his Plum Mist, heck, he is the Plum Mist Man.
Plum Mist, Plum Mist, Plum Mist, Plum Mist.........Say it fast 5 times!

Do you guys know that GTO_AL's house is Plum Mist?
So's his toothbrush, his 2 dogs are named Plum & Mist.......

I couldn't ever fill the Plum Mist shoes of the mighty GTO_Al, he must keep the Plum Mist GTO.

LOL Now that's funny. I'll rush right out and get a new license plate "PrpLRain" Or "the GTO formally known as Goat"

Hehehehe, that only shows that you want the Plumster LOL

Wow 10gs for the gold 67. You bet that was a steal at 6 grand. Al, I'll bet there's still strange smelling smoke rising above the hills at Lake Chelan over that price. He would'a sold us his whole collection on the hill for that money!

By the way Mark, if AL sells you his purple car, be sure he includes the extinguisher!!!! HA HA

Gary, it wasn't ole smoky that sold the car on eBay, it was the person who bought it from him. I bet ole smoky still has most of those GTOs he's been hording and "fixin up".

Note to anyone interested in ole smoky's cars, they're not worth it. Been there done that, they're over priced junk.

Example:
Orignal rust free '66 GTO...... says him

What I found,...
'66 GTO (true enough) three different years interior, home made risky wiring harness, surface rust and bondo through-out the car, 326 engine, ROUGH condition through out, junk!

The best car he had was the gold '67 2bbl car. Numbers, ameture paint... worth his asking $6K obviously but after driving 4 hours one way and finding the '66 the way I did, he wasn't getting my money, and after what I said to him, he wasn't wanting it.

Oh, I do have a plum colored tooth brush :-) And our furniture is plum as well LOL. Ya, at this moment in time, the Plumster is staying right where it is and the HO is getting close to restoration, somehow...... it's way past due.

I remember a long time ago I looked at a 66 389 4spd car in packwood the guy i talked to was real hard to understand it seemed there was some english words in there, he had it all no teeth wore an old hat and suspenders the whole nine yards it reminded me of deliverence there was even an real ugly and dirty kid around with blond hair all he needed was a banjo! I remember i could barley understand the guy and frankly i just wanted to get the heck outta there. would have been a good car to get but i didnt want to sqeal like a pig! lol!
