Northwest Legends Club Meeting Minutes
(April 2, 2005)
MEETING OPENED:
Meeting called to order at 5:05 pm by John Pearson, President of the Northwest GTO Legends Club, at the Bison Creek in Burien.
GUESTS & NEW MEMBERS:
Corky and Joe Baker were recognized and introduced as new members. They own a 1988 Firebird.
SECRETARIES REPORT:
Wally Santella gave the Secretaries Report, based on notes provided from last month’s meeting. Last month’s minutes were summarized, and details posted on the Club’s web site.
TREASURES REPORT:
Amber Engen gave the Treasures Report, announcing the Club’s current balance at $2,059.07.
OLD BUSINESS:
1. Lara Majors addressed the membership on current status of plans for this years Rainier Run 2005. Lara identified the more volunteers at the following points:
a. Eaton – Need two more people
b. Onapakos – Need one more person
c. Orting – Need two more people
Lara described the various sponsors who have signed up, and she gave out flyers for people to take from the meeting and handout at different functions.
NEW BUSINESS:
1. Denny Deal talked to the membership about the Spring Car Clinic, which will be held on APRIL 16th at his SASCO business facility. Denny made a plea for members who need help with car repair tasks and volunteer members to be there to provide assistance.
2. John Pearson reminded the membership that our monthly club meeting at Bison Creek would shift over to the summer schedule for the May meeting, meaning that the start time would move up to 4:00pm.
3. John Person and Gary Majors discussed with the membership the idea of bringing Jim Wangers badk up to Seattle again. They indicated that the cost would be around $1,000 for airfare, hotel and food. A motion was made to invite Jim to visit during the Christmas season and it was passed by the membership. Gary Majors and Bob Black will communicate with Jim and have him schedule his availability for our NW Legends Christmas Party.
4. Mike Santella addressed the membership about this year’s NW GTO Legends Muscle Car Meet:
- Called for volunteers to help with managing the parking process. Mike indicated that he will want this group to meet at the planned XXX site in Issaquah to get a better understanding of the surroundings, potential issues, and possible options.
- Mike stated that if the main parking area fills up, there are spill-over areas.
- It was discussed and decided that there will be no pre-registration.
5. Frank Muscutt and Denny Deal addressed the membership about their efforts to develop a 2006 NW GTO Legends Calendar this year.
- They will need to figure costs
- They are planning on either the same size as last years calendar or slightly larger
- They are planning to make it available by August
- They will start taking picture in May and thru June and July
- Frank and Denny will develop the details/plans and report back to the membership
6. The 50/50 Raffle was held and John Pearson won $28.

Meeting was adjourned at 6:00 pm by John Pearson. Next meeting will be held at the Bison Creek, on May 7th, at 4:00 PM.
