Hello! I spoke with Tom Willett tonight and I told him I would make sure and post some basic info on our site about the Greenwood Show 2005.

Date: Saturday, June 25th
Meeting Time: 6:00 am.............yes, 6 am....but he says if he knows your coming the group will try to wait for you.
Meeting Location: Woodland Park Zoo entrance, we then depart from there at 6:30 am and head for the entry gates of the show.

From what I understand, once the group is parked everyone goes to breakfast together. Tom also said that this year the group will have the banner for the NW Legends so we'll be representin'.

There was also mention that if you register early (before May 31st) you get a free t-shirt and also an expedited entry. Here is the link for the registration form if you are interested in showing:

http://www.greenwood-phinney.com/docs/Participant.pdf

If you get the form all filled out and mailed, please send a quick email to Tom Willett at tomwillett@comcast.net with your name and cell phone number.

If I forgot anything, please post it so everyone can get all the info. :)

Looking forward to a great day! Also, the Vintage Vehicle Show is going to be at XXX the next day...so if the car is all cleaned up for the Greenwood show, you ought to make a trip out to XXX for more fun.

The line up to get in was already 7 blocks long when we got in line around 7am...

Once we got in we parked (taking up the entire block), put up the club banners, wiped the cars down and went for a super-sized breakfast at a cafe on the next block...as luck would have it we all got seats in this little place that probably only seated 50 people max.

This car was parked across from us and was fired up periodically and drew quite a crowd every time...it was nasty!!! I ran into the guys as they were loading the car after the show and pulled over to talk to them. They had pulled it up on the trailer already, but they seemed more than happy to fire it up for me...problem was I taped too long so I don't think I can upload it...sorry. They had a time slip in the window for 10.05...I couldn't bring myself to tell them that our guys run in the 9's...especially since the 10's are pretty damn respectable! ;)

Check out the greasers chatting with the owners...

What are the odds...I was on my way to dinner after the show and as I drove by the Safeway in Ballard, I run into this car...flip a U-turn and take a couple pics...the owner comes out and we chatted a bit...nice guy...huge...but very friendly. :)

I forgot to mention that this guy was not in the show...and no, he doesn't want to join the club...but I gave it a shot.

I also shot some pics of my car next to Ken's...

I forgot to put in that Steve Pedegana won for Best Stock Car but I cannot remember the year range of the award...oops.

Ted Knapp also was awarded Sponsors Choice award...the funny thing was he had not checked inside his car until we were all getting ready to leave around 4 and as he was cleaning up the flyers he came across the "You have been awarded something...meet us at 3pm..." Safe to say he got it. :)

Congrats!

I also signed up Matt Blackmer...he has a '65 GTO that's red.....really red......it looked like the paint was about 7 coats thick red.....wow! He parked with the group last year as well as this year since there was no escaping Tom out there flagging GTO folks down...

Amber - did you get any pics of the fine job Tom Willet did of erecting the Northwest Legends banners on each side of our display?

I've got some more photos, some of which showcase the club banners. Right now the zipped files are in a 33 meg. zip file. So, I'll work on getting them to Amber and Lonnie.

Check out this web page - some cool shots of Greenwood car show with some pics of Legends cars. I had nothing to do with it, but includes some shots of my car, as well. I particularly like the grill shot.
