TREASURES REPORT:
Amber Engen gave the Treasures Report, announcing the Club’s current beginning balance at $3,146.70 and ending balance of $3,872.54 for May, 2005.
OLD BUSINESS:
1. Wally Santella updated the membership on Michael Santella’s progress to date on the 2005 NW Muscle Car Meet. Mike says all sponsorship money has been locked up and all but three (3) sponsors have provided their checks. The club is “in the black”, and have no dollar issues to worry about from here on in.
2. Denny Deal and Frank Muscutt reported current status of this years GTO Calendar development. They have identified an individual who will do the layout work. They are working out some of the marketing issues, including the cost of the calendar. Proceeds will go to the Jamie Moyer Foundation. They expect all pictures will be completed within the next 10 days.
3. Lara Majors provided another update on plans for this year’s Rainer Run:
- Eatonville and Enumclaw still need volunteers
- Extra flyers were provided to the membership to handout whenever and wherever.
- Lara identified the need for a tent
- Date has been set for July 23rd.
4. Gary Majors updated the membership about Jim Wangers. He indicated that he had spoken to Jim about our interest in having him visit the club again. Jim suggested that he would be available and glad to come between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Gary will continue to work with Mr. Wangers to arrange this visit.
NEW BUSINESS:
1. Denny Deal addressed the membership about plans for the next Car Clinic. He suggested the idea of combining the club meeting and the car clinic. Denny will continue to plan this activity and work with the Board to schedule it so that it fits with other events this summer of fall.
2. John Person and Wally Santella addressed the membership about the letter that our Club received from John Johnson of the GTOAA. John Johnson has identified some GTOAA membership discrepancies that were repeated to the membership. John will make an effort to reach all members that were identified in the letter.
3. Wally Santella and John Person brought up the subject of when to establish a cutoff date for dropping club members from the “Active” Roster, who have not paid their dues for 2005. A motion was put to the membership and passed to drop members who have not paid their 2005 club dues from the “Active” Roster as of May 31st.
4. Brad Barrie put a motion to the membership to increase the amount to be given to Kelly & JoAnn Lay to $200 to help defray the cost of their annual “Thursday BBQ”. Motion to raise the fee to $200 was passed by the membership.
