Anyone intersted in the 17th May calendar pic fun run #1 show up at Freddies Casino in Fife at 10am, WEATHER PERMITTING! If it's raining hard concider it cancelled. However if it's showers then rain pics have a feeling all to themselves and can look great. From there we'll be cruising the areas of Point Defiance, Gig Harbor, Steilacoom and the sorts.
Also, Puyallup South Hill Mall is hosting a free car show at the Sears parking lot from 10am to 3pm on the 17th so the cruise if anyone is interested can run past there as well. I went there last year with my GTX convert and it was a pretty good show, even with the light showers that day.
If you're for sure going to show (weather permitting) please reply, if you're not sure and decide at the last minute, that's great to, just show up. I'm hopeing to get at least 5 cars but will go with one if that's all that shows up.

If anyone has any ideas for locations please let me know. You can even set it all up for a photo cruise and I'll be there, just let me know ahead of time because of my everyother day 24hr work schedule.

Weather was decent. Had a great showing of one GTO, took tons of pics of the car that showed up, so once again we'll have plenty of Plum Mist pics for the calendar.

Waited till 10:45, then went to Puyallup car show, met some people that may join the club with their '67s, seen Kevin D there and also Pete with his '71.

No pics, no calendar!

I'll have our '66 pose for the calander.. (Now that I have decent wheels on her!) ;D

We got to have a calander.. They will go twice as fast as last years.... Esp with the 2004 GT ("Oh" I wish it was a muscle car) coming out. I know a club member close to me with a sweet 67 in his garage almost ready to go....

Al,
If I had a GTO I would have shown. Sorry for the no-shows. I guess it's our loss.

Al,
Let us know in your mind what would be the deadline for submitting pictures of club member's GTO's for the calendar.
There are many of us, myself included that would like to submit our own pictures of our GTO's that we took in various settings.
I think the more variation for backgrounds & settings, the better calendar it will be.
Give us a timeline for submitting personal pics & you will have many to choose from.

Thanks for your efforts.

Thanks Lonnie, and Mark.
Now is a good time. I don't need to be the one taking the pictures of you all have some great shots let's use them. Either email some to me or bring them to the next meeting. The sooner we have photo's the sooner I can get started on the production. Photo's are timeless and there's no need to wait untill the last minute again this year to get calendars ni production. If I had enough photos' for the next three calendars I'd get started on just that many, well, maybe not that soon but you know what I mean.
I was reading the online GTO email list again the other night and there's still people out there looking for the GTO calendars that the guy back east produced. I have one of his copies and though I may be bias toweards mine, I like our better :-)
I'll plan other Photo cruises just because I think it would be a great time had by all just cruising around our great Pacific NW with pictures as a added bonus.

HOWEVER, with all that said, there WON'T be any blurry photo's like last year. Last years calendar was put together with whatever I could get, this years we have the choice.

I'm thinking of using our clubs web site's splash page as the front cover, that is if it's OK with the owner of the splash page ;) Lonnie?

We have some absolutely great looking cars in our mist, it's a shame we don't get a lot more photo's and put them on display for the whole world to see.
Just a thought.

My only coment about the Splash page is - if you're going to use one, let me make you a better one. The website one won't turn out well in print. ;)

Would have been there, but had a gig. There are some good photo ops at Tiger Run.... Everyone will be there.

Tiger Run is a given, ;D I hate car show shots though so I'll be out and about for some 'desert' shots and maybe even in the dark ;)

If you'd like Lonnie, go ahead and make a cover page that you think best fits the cover/club. We all know you're an artist when it comes to puter stuff :)

There's some nice photo ops on the way to T/R too. Like down the Columbia Gorge.

I'd like to see someone get some shots with Seattle in the back ground as well.

Another (or more) Racing shot(s).

Right on dudes.

Al, I have a nice shot in high resolution of my Judge at Alki. I have a digital camera that is a 4.1 mega pixel.
I will send that one to you, also I would like to do one of my 68 laying rubber in front of Bison Creek. You could have the car & the restaurant in the background, maybe even other GTO's in the parking lot in the background. Like after a meeting or something. The pic would be shot across the street to take it all in.
I'm not talking about a tire chirper here. I'm talking about a smokeshow that would call the cops on me again. ;D

There should be a subject here on the forums with nothing but tire smokin pictures! ;D I guess I need to learn from the pros.. All I get are little chirps and I have some old tires I need to burn off ASAP so I can get my red lines faster! :P

That shot sounds GREAT 8) I'll be bringing my camera to every meeting, bring yours as well just in case you'd rather take the photo yourself, of course that would mean that I'd have to be the one 'burning' the tires in your car ;D LOL.

Seeing GTOs through smoke in front of Bison Creek is a great idea.

My camera even takes lil video clips with sound so you may have to do it twice :o (just use two cameras)

Lonnie, can you put a video clip as your pic of the week?

Wonder what the market would be for a "works in progress" calendar...
I got the LeMans on the road this weekend but she's nowhere near ready to grace the same pages as the Plum Mist or any of the other cars that show up to the meetings. (Mine will be there next month!!! :) )

Al,
Say the word and I'll get my baby out there even if she is quad-tone. :)

Kendall,
Keep taking the pics buddy, there's another thought on the horizon of just what you're doing, a before/during/done photo pages. Yes, I actually think there is a calling for a calendar like that. And your's would be very welcome among them all.
Al
(actually a GM idea)

Sure, the pic of the week could be a video clip - might take the page a while to load though, but it could be done. May want to play with that idea a bit.
