Well, I believe their just moving from their long time location on South Tacoma WA. Not too interesting news other than my Plum Mist was sold from there and I was able to talk to a maintenance shop guy that started work there in '68. He remembers the plum mist color but obviously not specifically my convert. Though he does remember doing maintenance on one or two plum mist cars and probably did the early maint. on my car. He was a very interesting guy to talk to and was able to tell me some interesting stories about working on our beloved GTOs in their day. He had some horror stories, interesting stories and . . . well, some not so interesting stories. It was neet though to see him standing there, looking into the engine compartment on the plum mist with a sh.. eating grin as he was reminising about the old days. Osborne MaCann no longer sells Pontiacs and hasn't done in years, but it sure was a nice day to take the car out, visit it's selling dealership, talk with one that was there, and share a little history. The dealership is moving in the next couple months so it was a last chance type thing, and well worth it.
If you get the chance while you're out and about, stop by an old Pontiac dealership and ask to talk with one of the 'old guys' that was there. Who knows, you may hear something interesting but for sure you'll take someone back to the good old days. My car drew a croud of mechanics (no it wasn't on fire and I didn't need their help LOL) and young and old they all had grins from ear to ear.

Cool.
I agree the old schoolers are cool & visualizing the Pontiac dealerships in their heyday is awesome.
Sometimes I pick my dad's brain about Totem Pontiac where he bought my 68 GTO new, he goes on to tell me that they first saw their GTO on a lighted turntable in the showroom, the salesman then took my folks into a back warehouse type garage where he tellls me they had dozens of new GTO's in many colors.
Man what I would do if he would have taken a camera along, the pictures would be priceless today. 8)

Yes, great story AL.

I believe JP Pearson's '68 was purchased new at that dealership too.

Anyone have any old shots of Royal Pontiac in it's hey day? Please post them if you do. I think they are pretty cool. I dig old school guys and oldschool stories.
