Congratulations to my wife Lara on the purchase of her '66 red GTO! She's already got the front clip done, and is wearing out the Ames catalog (and the mastercard) at the speed of heat. Hope to see her drive next year's Rainier Run in her new GTO 8) ::) ;)

Way to go Lara,
and for everyone that's wondering, here's the car and it's proud owner. The car is as solid as they come too!

And of course, here's Gary, steeling GTO parts already from Lara. I over heard him saying, "Hey Amos, I don't see the Ram Air, ya think I could make a pair of glasses out of these?"
Lookin good in the neighborhood. Congratulations and I know it's going to be one kickass goat.

Excellent choice! My first GTO was a 66 and I wish I had never parted with it. Love my 67 but still miss the 66 :(. Can't wait to see this one on the road!
Flying Tiger better watch out looks like Momma gonna blow by you like you're driving a lowly 6 cylinder Rambler ;D ;D

More pics, Gary. What's the history on the car?

The car's really nice. This is the one I mentioned at the meetings. It's been locked up in a hangar for over 20 years. It's a factory 4 speed PHS doc. car. 3.55 posi, rear spkr, am rad. Your basic go- fast from detroit in 66. Lara already has the front clip done, and is now eyeballing the trunk! Seats have been obtained, and the rest of the interior is in my(OOPS) OUR shop. SD Dave and I are looking at doing a "spicier" version of my engine- around 450horse and 550 ft-lbs. Just your basic grocery getter... We also went in with Lee (Kapowsin Engineering) and Feedie on two other 66 GTOs both factory 4speed. One was black with red interior, the other was white. Both of those are for sale if anyone is interested.Price is very reasonable. Call Lee or myself for details.
