Well my car works and does big burnouts so now I have to put the hood on. What is the correct color for the hood springs? Should they be the same color as the rest of the engine compartment? I read somewhere that the springs are painted gray, is this true? Any info is appreciated.

It is more of a matted silver then a flat gray. This includes the springs and entire apperatus. NAPA has good selection and good prices.

Hey Glad to hear she's getting that close! Can't wait to see it in person one of these days!
I've seen/heard that either a semi gloss/flat gray or black are correct (actually the black is usually more like a zinc-oxcide flat) But I think I've seen more of them gray... maybe brows the galleries...

Yes, it is exciting to get the car on the road again. There is still alot of work to go but at least it moves under its own power. If the weather is decent this weekend I will probably drive it around FW again so if you smell rubber smoke and hear alot of sirens pretend you dont know me.
