I'm looking for a single RED center cap with the Black "PMD". Any spares out there for sale? Maybe someone else in the club is missing one and wants to go in on a set??

I do not feel like paying $100+ just to get one cap.

Thanks,
Scott

I'd have an extra but you'd have to buy the single center replacement from AMES. Infact, I think you can buy complete singles from AMES. Mine are driver quality at best.

Scott,
Once again Al is correct...Ames has the GM red cap for $49 and a reproduction one for $28, each or whole sets( reproduction only $109). I checked my inventory and only found a black one. Pontiacquack and I are going through a whole bunch of stuff on Saturday, I know I saw one in there, do not know if it is red or not but will post either way then. Mike

Wow! Total sticker shock!

I have bought two complete sets of center caps. One set was a black NOS set that I paid $125.00 for. The other set was a repro red set for $100.00. I tried to browse the Ames catalog but the PDF file would not completely load. I went to Yearone and performance years. The Black sets sell for $249.00 - $265.00. The red sets are still around the $125.00 mark. What is up with the price of the black caps? The cost of the trim rings and restoration of the R-II rims combined with the centers, I probably would have an aftermarket set of rims on my car instead. Thankfully I started my restoration 20 years ago when I was only making $6.00/hr!

I could have only bought 6.5 (Hmmm, where have I seen that before) sets of centers for what I paid for the entire car!

Isn't inflation GREAATTTT!

Scott

If you want it back from me it will cost you $20.00!!!

Just kidding Mike! I knew of the connection with you and Stefan on the cap. It only cost me $10.00 but I thought that I would have some fun with ya.

Besides, it is on the wifes car now so you would have a real tough time getting it back now!
