what does it take to bring car from canada?

Does anyone know what it takes to bring a car back to the states from Canada?
Checking out a gto, need to make sure if purchased we can get it home. LOL ;D

When I brought mine back from Canada a few years ago, you only needed the canadian title. Mine was from a private party and not a dealer. You will have to declare the value though. It should be no problem bringing it in to the US. Make sure to bring a 3 day registration pass from the DMV if you do buy it. The plates will end up staying in Canada. The owner has to turn them in to the Government.

I've brought two cars the other way but the rules are the same. Make sure that you have the title and a BILL OF SALE. write one yourself, that's OK, just ensure that the previous owner signs it and that the car is clearly described (VIN)
