I want to replace the headliner in my wagon. The origianl insulation needs to be replaced as well.

There are foil backed insulations that are commonly used (these days) as floor board and firewall insulations. It is late and the name escapes me brain at the moment. I have never bought any of this stuff but I seem to remember hearing that it is real expensive. I also thought that they were self adhesive.

I was wondering if the following ebay auction, which I thought was reasonably priced, is a similar material without the self adhesive. What do you all think about using iton the underside of the roof before I replace the headliner.

or this stuff?

There is similar stuff at Home Depot, not sure of the R rating, but at least you can get it local. I have used it to wrap heat ducts and it works well.

I remembered the product name and yes...It is very EXPENSIVE.

http://www.dynamat.com/auto_roof.htm

I figured that I would get about 100 SQ. FT. so that I can install some on the roof and inside the doors too. I could figure at least another 60 SQ. FT. if I did the floors too.

The Dynamat Shop pak is only 2.8 SQ. FT. at 24.95. That is almost $900.00. Then they recommend that you install TacMAt over this product. The TacMat is an additional $5.42 per SQ. FT.

This product is only about 4.20/SQ.FT. Still more $$ than I care to spend.

I think I'll go check the stuff at Home Depot!!!!!

There should be some of that foil back insulation for sale at the February swap meet. I've seen it before in the booths, and seen guys carrying it around. I asked once, and I think they were getting $18-22 a roll. That is Feb 10 or 12, if you care to wait.

Thanks! I plan on spending some time and money there! I assume that you are speaking about the High Perf. Meet in Puyallup.

Thanks again!
