Someone looking for advise

Here is an email I received from a guy I took to our Muscle Car show a couple of years ago. He owns several Vipers and has been looking for a GTO. He has appparently found one, but would like to have someone with some expertise take a look at the car before he buys it. I would be happy to take a look, but I know there are people here that have much more knowledge than I. Can anyone help out here? I am sure we can convince him to join the Legends!

I am the Viper guy that went to the GTO show with you in Grahm a few years ago. I have located a ’66 GTO original local owner car with all of the books and paper work including build sheet. It is Montero red with a black vinyl top, tri power with a 4 speed and rally I wheels. I would like to have you or someone you could suggest look at it with my as I decide whether it is the one I should buy. It is not a show car but would make a good clean driver. I got the PM and talked to Bob last night. We were working out a inspection schedule and when he called Park Place they said it was sold!!!!!!!! Mike

Mike - I talked to Bob this morning. Said the deal wasn't closed, but an out of town buyer put up $3,000 hard until papers get finalized. Not likely anyone will walk away from that kind of cash. FYI the car was priced @ $29,900. Thanks for offering to help. Bob's search will continue.
