I had a chance to try out a new product (for me anyway), called POR-15. The results were great after figuring out how to spray correctly.

My '70 Challenger rad was running a little warm lately, so took it in to check and sure enough it was plugged. So after a quick (1day) turnaround from Arctic Radiator in Bremerton, I was back in business. The key to putting this stuff on is light coats. It goes on with texture (orange peel), but smooths out nicely after curing. I shot with my gun straight out of can at 25psi and looks great. I would recommend this stuff.

The engine compartment looks good.

I have used it too, painting the under body of my car, it sticks to everything and takes a long time to dry.

That looks awesome... I used it on the trunk my daughters 69 chevelle and it still shines like new... Word of warning though... If it is exposed to sunlight for any period of time, it will fade to a hazy black and looks pretty bad. If the painted areas are to see sun, get some of the por-15 primer and prime then paint with a cover paint. If you hit it before it is completely dry, you can use a regular primer. (The POR Primer actually penetrates the like a metal prep to roughen up the surface to allow paint to adhere).

The other option (but as far as I know it only comes in a semi-gloss) is to use the por-15 undercoat. IT is black also and is NOT affected by the sunlight.

Just my two cents worth... IT really looks good.!!!

Thanks, yes, that is what the instructions warn about. I guess I figure the engine bay won't see a ton of sunlight. We'll see.
