FYI Future Changes

Just a note about some changes coming up in the near-or-distant future. The Legends Forum is slated for a massive engine rebuild. Right now, we're a tired two-barrel, but we're gonna be a fire-up, full of piss and vinegar blown RAV.

No need to reply, just a heads up so that it's not a total shock when it happens.

In my own opinion: I REALLY like the fact that this board keeps track of your read messages and highlights the ones that haven't been read yet.

I'm less enthused about the Java marquees but they don't bother me so much.

Keep up the good work and let us know if you need anything.

Thanks for the input Kendall. - We're not losing any features - to be sure. At least none that I know if. We're gaining. It's the LEGENDS FORUM 8) So it's gotta run like a well-oiled GTO. Since our website members and visitors spend most of their time here in the Legends Forum, that's where I want to focus most of the action - so we need more horse power.

If anyone has any suggestions, or things they'd like to change, or add let's hear it. Maybe you've seen something somewhere else and you'd like to have it here, now would be a good time to speak up.

Well, not to start another war or anything. But, how about a list by percentage or actual number, of the most popular GTO's owned by club members on the side of the main or on the roster page? 1964 to 1974. We could also add an "other" category for those not yet so blessed to own one. Just an idea.

The engine rebuild is specific to the Legends Forum - our message board. I don't have any focus on the rest of the site for now.

Part of the reason behind the Legends Forum overhaul - besides the speed gain, is that I 'should' be able to extract statistics more easily from the registered message board users. This will help build charts and maps of GTO and other musclecar ownership, for example.
