Northwest Legends Club Meeting Minutes
(February 4, 2006)

MEETING OPENED:

Meeting called to order at 5:05 pm by Stefan Fafnis, President of the Northwest GTO Legends Club, at the Bison Creek in Burien.

GUESTS & NEW MEMBERS:
No new guests or members were recognized.

SECRETARIES REPORT:

Wally Santella gave the Secretaries Report, based on notes provided from last month’s meeting. Last month’s minutes were summarized, and details posted on the Club’s web site.

TREASURES REPORT:

Amber Engen provided the Treasures Report for this meeting. Amber announced a Beginning Balance of $2054.94 and an ending balance of $2,897.94.

CAR TALK SESSION:

- Mike Buzard has his dash re-assembled, wiring fixed, and finished painting his car. On the negative side, he suffered some drive shaft damage.
- Pat Bertucci cooked his MSD box, had to replace it with a new one.
- Bruce Morrison had to find a place to store his car, since Reed Racing kicked him out of their facility. When Bruce went to pick up his car, it was leaking anti-freeze, so now he needs to fix this problem.
- Bob Botkin has rewired his tail lights/brake lights and now is street legal. Says he is doing 9.87 times! Bob says Dave Bishop has taken on some help, so that he can do more work. This may be good for our membership, since jobs tend to stack up.
- Tom Willet has installed a BM short-throw shifter in his 2005 GTO.
- Amber Engen say the Bel-Red auto body shop has not been keeping her car inside and out of the weather. Work is done, but there are some issues.
- Jack and Pat Borell have been experiencing some starting problems. This turned into a rebuilt motor, after taking it to Gary Major (4 month process).
- Gary Tischer talked about his dissatisfaction with B&M not being able to help them trouble shoot a problem they were having with not being able to shift into reverse. They eventually fixed the problem, a spring that was lodged sideways.
- Brad Barrie has handed out 6 entries to the Seattle Roadster Show. They will set up on Thursday (3/2) and show will be open to the public on Friday/Saturday/Sunday.

OLD BUSINESS:

1. Stefan Fafnis talked about this years Tiger Run. He alerted the membership to the fact that the Eagle Crest Motel in Oregon, where the Tiger Run Show will be held this year, is almost full. If you are still making your reservations, you can reach them at 1-800 682-4786. The cost is around $85/night.

2. Mike Santella talked to the membership about updating their GTOAA membership so that we can maintain a 33% or better rations of Legend members who are also members of the GTOAA. Mike mention that this year, the GTOAA will cover our insurance needs for non-moving events. Wally Santella is already working on this and is in the process of getting the new officers registered and will be polling delinquent GTOAA club members about renewing their membership.

NEW BUSINESS:

1. John Pearson talked to the membership about the GOOD GUYS Calendar having the wrong date for our NW Legends Muscle Car Show this year. They have it as September 20th, and it should be September 13th.

2. Gary Tischer talked about the Corvette & Performance Car Show that will be held in Puyallup next week. Gary will take his 1964 GTO to this show.

3. John Person reported to the membership that he has purchased $250 worth of Legends Muscle Car Show door prizes.

4. 50/50 Raffle was held and Patrick Kensella won $38.
