My name is Tyler, im 17, I bought a 68 lemans with a 'built' 400 and a TH350 a few months ago. I have been in Alaska fishing all summer and I just got back and started working on her. Now i'm trying to get it ready for the street, I got a new carb in the mail, and a few other parts. Then comes the paint and wheels, Now that I have the cash to do so. Some of the guys from the chevelle website told me about this club, I thought I would introduce myself; learn a few things, etc. I need to learn how to tune my carb, get my timing right, make sure my vacuum lines are all hooked up, just basically get it working. Maybe get some tuning help/advice, whatever, any help is appreciated

Tyler,
Welcome!
we'll help you out in any way we can. First off I would like to congratulate you on being 17 & buying a Musclecar instead of modding an import...That is big!
I have some 68 parts so let me know what you need. What kind of wheels are you thinking?
Talk to you soon..... 8)

Yeah, i never understood what kids see in modding imports, other than getting good gas mileage. I have always loved muscle cars.
My car just needs a bit of odds and ends, all the little things that take the most time to get sorted out, heh. For the wheels, i think i'm gonna go with some 17 x 8 torque thrusts.

Welcome aboard Tyler. Good to see you haven't strayed into the import sceen! It would be great to have you out to a meeting... say, this Saturday... at Bison Creek... best pizza in Western Washington... 20 + GTO's out front . Hope to meet you there.
Welcome.
Great to see a teenager who isn't into "modding", whatever that is.
Nice thing about this board is you don't to have to own a GTO to be accepted here.

No problems there! I drove my Furd Probe there for the first six months.
Welcome aboard! If you need any help, don't hesitate to ask.
