12 Legends (and 3 member "New Models" and one non-member '04) showed up for the show day Saturday July 8, 2006 at Kirkland Pontiac. 10:00 - 2:00 and the day was beautiful. Too bad more visitors didn't come around. Also, too bad the lot couldn't be seen from I-405. If you could have seen the cars from 405 I'll bet lots more folks would have been attracted to stop by. Think of the heads that group would have turned if they were on one of those lots in Fife next to I-5!

They even cooked up some burgers for us. Nice!

They have 4 '06's in stock if anyone is interested! That spice red is a pretty hot lookin' color!

I took some photos but I can't figure out how to post them. Dang. I tried the "Manage attachments" but the files are (slightly) too big after downsizing them a lot. How do you embed the photos into the copy? I try to cut and paste on the "Post thread" screen but it won't let me do it. Do I have to post them somewhere else and then link to that? Sorry for the dumb question, but I'm baffled. I'll be happy to post the photos if someone can help me figure this out.

Thanks,

Milt

PS There was one drive by of a 2005 Midnight Blue - was that you, Pat?

It was kind of a low-key thing. Kirkland Pontiac requested a dozen "Legends" (no new goats) to sit on their lot for promotional purposes. The dozen were lined up off line and that was it. It was discussed at a couple of the club meetings.

I just showed up uninvited since it was a nice day, my wife was out of town and I bought my '05 there.

If you want to attend club stuff, there are some good things coming up! Rainier Run July 29, Muscle Car meet August 13, Bellingham Clam Bake July 22, not to mention the monthly meetings.

Also, there are other pontiac things, like the Everett All Pontiac Show on July 30. Lots to choose from!

Yes, I would like to get involved. I will do my best to make it to the August meeting.

Our intent here was to help Kirkland Pontiac draw some attention in on a Saturday to sell some cars and trucks. The weather was so nice most people were out enjoying it in lieu of signing paperwork, but we accomplished what we set out to do.

Thanks to the following for showing up and helping the club promote one of our main sponsors:

Tom Willett - Ted Knapp - Wally Santella - Steve Pedegana - Brandon Warren - Pete Cossette - John Pierson - Mike Buzard - Kevin Reed - Steve Martin (looking strangely like his nephew Eric) and John (and Jim) Bozony.
(Nice assortment of GTO's from 1964 - 1970)

The new boys were represented by Milt Vine and Mike and Dominic Santella. We did sell one calendar as well. As Milt indicated, we didn't get a lot of traffic but it was a nice day to get the cars and just relax with friends.

I have pictures of all of the cars and will post them as soon as I get a chance to download and add to this post. Keep your eyes peeled.
