Great show yesterday for those who attended. The show field was packed with some nice cars and some cars that we have never had our show. Big thanks go to Mike Santella for going to other car clubs to promote our show, it worked. 180 cars I think were in attendence. :o Congratulations to all of the winners. ;)

I agree with Mr. Reed, it was an AWESOME show. What a beautiful day as well. And the bonus of the day was getting to watch all the cars scream up Meridian after leaving the event. Special thanks to Gary Tischer, Mike Boutte, Mitch Bleitz, and especially Wally Santella for their very entertaining exits!! In true Pontiac form!

Looks as if I missed a *car meet. Is there going to be any more meets this summer at the Graham Fair Grounds (ie. Pierce County Fairgrounds) for Pontiac related autos? *

Congratulations on a fantastic Muscle Car Meet! *Sounds like it was our best ever! *Wish I could have been there. *Thanks to everyone who contributed and helped to make the event a great success! *See you at the next meeting!
My wife and I were a little stressed out by time we arrived at the show (just before the awards were presented). I guess we are dumb because we just couldn't either follow directions or ask the right people where the fair grounds were. I asked at a gas station (am/pm style), they never heard of Pierce County Fairgrounds....they never heard of it, but they were willing to call 911 to ask. Then I talked to a biker....he said he knew where the Pierce County Courthouse was, but didn't know where the fairgrounds were. We went back to Puyallup, and same reply....the problem was - I was asking the wrong question. I should have asked where the South Hill Mall was, everybody knows that.
I was impressed with the turnout and the quality of the cars....Wow. Good job.

That's a funny story Rick, my sides still hurt from laughing. Of course the biker knows where the court house is... but not the fair grounds.. hehehe too funny.
I got there late too. Nice show though. Great turn out.

Had a great time at the meet, saw some very cool cars and not all were pontiacs.
Hope to have the H.O. sitting next to all those great goats next year *8)

Maybe you guys are to busy !!! or Maybe Iam not part of the click!!! I had posted *a question (3rd post on this topic) *in reguards to asking if this past event will be the last show of the year at the Pierce County Fairgrounds. I was also looking for a club to join and someone told me about N.W. Legends. If this is how you treat new people that come into your forums that may become new club members then maybe I should look else-where for a club & club members that read all post and help out the newbe's

The only Pontiac only events that I know of that happen in the Northwest are the Western Washington Firebirds All Pontiac show in Everett, the POCI all Pontiac show in Puyallup and Tiger Run in Bend Oregon. I also think the Radioactive Redskin's club in Spokane has an all Pontiac Show. Our club hosts our annual Musclecar Meet once a year in Graham. While not specifically a Pontiac show, our club sponsors the event, so our member bring their cars, hence the huge GTO turnout. I live in the North end so have no idea what else goes on at the fair grounds the rest of the year. I've never heard of any other car shows going on down there, and probably wouldn't go anyway just because of the drive. I think the reason no one responded to your question is that no one had any info to give. Hopefully this answers your question. Thanks.

Welcome to our site, take it easy on us as we are still recovering form the Musclecar Meet. The Pierce County Fairgrounds hosts a few shows that I know of each year, but not specifically Pontiac. Father's day is the GM Picnic, August has the Yesterday's Chevelle/ El Camino meet, July is the Sunbust Mopar show, and sometime there is the Unfinished Nationals.
Hope this helps.

Mark W: I was too busy. But I was able to reply above. As for feeling that you are being mistreated. Can't help you there. I don't think waiting 2 days to get a response is out of line. As for looking elsewhere for a club, that's your decision. I just think you should come to a meeting and interact with the members before you discount the entire club because of some perceived slight. Of course, that's just my opinion and in no way represents the opnions of the club as a whole.

Wide-Track -
Sorry, I must have glazed over your first post. But it looks like John and Brad replied already. Don't judge us too harshly - we're a pretty good bunch of guys/girls.
If you click http://www.northwestlegends.com/images/maps/bisoncreek.html - you can see a map and directions to our meeting spot. As the news reader above indicates, our next meeting is October 5th at 4:00PM.
Like John said, you should come meet us in person before you write us off. Have a good one, hope to see ya in a couple of weeks,
Lonnie
Hi Mark W.,
The NW Legends treat new people really well !
I know first hand as I'm a new member. I have been out of the performance vehicle scene for quite some time. I have had a whole lot of questions about GTO parts, correctness for restoration, tire and wheel sizes, upcoming events, and so on. I've been treated like part of the gang all along and am really glad I joined. Give a meeting a try, I think you'll find the members are really friendly and knowledgable. In addition, the club officers give a lot of their personal time to make the club events and operations a real success. Plus, whatta bunch of super cool GTOs and other Ponchos you'll see. One last thing....I've become addicted to this website.... like morning coffee for some, I gotta have it (thanks Lonnnie).
I won't be at the next meeting, I'm outta town but hope to see you at the one after. *8)

Mark W, have a Coke & a smile 8)
No bad vibes here chief, our gang has no clicks, you're one of the Fam just logging on brother.
We only hope to bring more of the Pontiac family over to our Forum Board, the more the merrier, some nights it's pretty quiet though, you can hear the cricketts *;) That just means we're out wrenchin' in our garages.
Bruce, sorry to miss you at the next meeting, I will be going through withdrawls from not seeing your Judge, however hopefully the streets will be dry for the November meeting & we can sport dual 70 Judges in the parking lot. 8)
Make it a great day dudes.

I would like to thank each and everyone that has posted a reply to my last post and would like to add that if I may have jumped the gun and atacked you or the group and members of the N.W. Legends and this forum that I'am sorry. As soon as my car arives from California I will be taking a trip to the Byson Creek Pizza House. I also might add that its kinda funny that when I lived in Anchorage and would fly down to buy cars out of the old Piston & Ruder magazines (1980-1984) I would allways make it a point eat at Byson Creek. A list of past Pontiacs that I have owned.
(1) 1969 Ram Air III Trans-Am
(2) 1971 455 H.O. Trans-Am
(3) 1971 Grand Prix SJ 455 H.O.
As well as many 76-80 Trans-Ams. At this time I'am just getting back into the Pontiac line of Classic autos after being out of the relm for close to 18 years.. Oh my how prices have changed.. I recall passing up a chance to buy a 1970 GTO Judge Convertable out of Oregon for $8600.00 in 1983. In fact the car is in one of the GTO books, "GTO Buyers guide" By Paul Zazarine or "Original Pontiac GTO" By. Thomas A. Demauro. The name of the owner of the car was Ron somthing I beleave. Right now I'am starting all over and I just bought a 1969 SJ G/P from California and it should be her next month. I will be looking forward to meeting all of you soon. And again I'am sorry for jumping the gun. Thanks
Mark W.
By the way the car I bought in place of the Judge was a Corvette, Man what was I smoking !!!!

Mark W, great reply, interesting too, talk about bringing back some memories, "piston & Rudder" wow, those were the good ol days, tripower convertible 4 speeds for $2500, I wish I could do it over again!
Brad our newsletter editor sometimes prints some old ads from the 80's to just make us cringe, Ram Air IV Judges for $4500, & the like. ::)
Anyway, sounds like you surely know your Pontiac stuff & you have owned quite an arsenal of Pontiac Jewels, looking forward to meeting you & your GP!
Bison Creek is a great place, Mike the new owner loves car guys & has kind of decorated the place with Motorsports in mind, so it's perfect for our club.
Hopefully we'll have some dry weather left here for us.
Talk to you guys later,
LonnieS

Mark W,
If you liked Bison Creek in the past, you'll really appreciate it now. Like MarkD was saying - Mike, the owner has really gone out of his way to accommodate our club there. He appreciates our business, and makes it as easy on us to be there as possible. He's even bought some of our T-shirts.
See ya soon.

Hey Mark,
I just got back form a mini vacation and signed on to see that you had felt that we don't treat new members properly. *
Sorry you felt that way. *I can assure you that we go out of our way to make everyone feel welcome in our club. *We are not a bunch of stuffed shirts nor do we have clicks. *There are members in the club with varying interests. Some like racing, some like touring, some like car shows, some just like to be around us even though they don't own a GTO. *We welcome all and look forward to the input of all members as to how we can make the club bigger and better.
Hope that you can make it to a meeting to see for yourself what kind of club we are.

Mark W, It's been a very buisy summer and I've not been on much, but this is the place to be, especially if you own a Pontiac. From day one, the group has been very supportive of our family and our projects. Give us one meeting at Bison Creek and you'll see what we mean. We are always looking to grow our club with new members and new cars. As our intro states, "No Stuffed Shirts here", Just a great bunch of people who share the same hobby. Hope to meet you at the Creek!
