Hey it's finally time to start the restoration on the HO convertible. For those who knew why I was waiting.... you'll know that I must have sold the Plumster. The Plum Mist is now in the loving hands of the Cheney family in Port Angeles. As for me, I've been to excited about getting started on the HO to think about missing the Plumster, but I'm sure I will.
I'm hoping to have the HO done by Tiger Run but not at the cost of cutting corners to make it happen. So wish me luck and have patience with me if I seem to be asking about where I can get this done or where I can get that done. I know what direction I want to go, just not sure how to get there the best way there is.

Let me know if I can help in any way. Looks like we will be racing to get our cars done by Tiger run together, not sure I'll make. Are you doing a frame off? Do you have a rotisserie?

Mark,
Yes on the frame off. I'm tentively looking at a couple shops close by to do most the cosmetic and frame work. They're close together and it can all be done right there. I'll take the shell on the frame and while one is working on the body the other will be doing the chasis all new. Now, to get the engine done at the right time to get it onto the frame before the body goes back on. Then when it gets back home I'll finish all the rest. I've already got the interior lined up as is the top but that's all last anyway.
I don't have a rotissorie, wish I did, but it wouldn't do me much good since I don't have the skills to do the cutting and welding, etc etc. It will go onto a rotissorie at the body shop though.
I just got back from the shops and told them I want NICE, if not perfect body. They're also putting me in touch with a stainless pollisher.
However, I'm still open to suggestions to quality resto shops in the area. I still need a quality chromer.

Al,

You should not have sold that Plum Mist car.
Have you had access to a controlled substance or something ?
