Does this 64 GTO on Ebay sitting in Phoenix, Arizona, have a NW GTO Legends wing window decal on it? *
Scroll ALL the way down to the last of the page. See the big pic & tell if me if you see what I see? ???

Lonnie, I think this is the car that I pointed out for you a couple of weeks ago in Tacoma? For less than the price of the reserve?

This has to be club member Matt Raphaele's GTO :o
Matt, wazzzup *???

That's our sticker alright. Wow. I'll bet it's appreciating the value of the car all by itself - the "Northwest GTO Legends" edition 1964 hardtop... ;D

Imagine owning a GTO that came out of the greatest car club of all time. A guy could do a lot worse...

Here's what Matt had to say about the guy selling the car on ebay. Got this off Classical Pontiac. *:-/

I've gained tons of knowledge and saved even more money, blood and tears from what I have read on this board over the past year and a half while I owned my '64. I want to try to help y'all out now...

I sold this car to this gentleman less than a week ago for 10K less than his reserve. Honestly, no sour grapes, the car just isn't the trailer queen the promised in this ad.

The car looks great on top, but there is major body rot underneath. Patched holes in the floor board and rotted out body mounts in the rear.

And although you can't tell by looking at the image in the ad, that window sticker is a forgery (which he knew when he took the car.) It's real but not original to the car - someone typed in the '25916' serial number portion of the VIN after erasing the original numbers - the lettering isn't even the same size or font.

He also states that the motor is known to be original, but I sold it to him as a date matching 389 block with incorrect heads and intake. The tri-power is a '65 and the heads are ''66 non-GTO small valve 92’s.

Thanks.

It's nice that Pontiac people like Matt are honest and look out for their fellow car lovers. Thanks Matt!! :) :) :)

Good information.
Sorry to see the GTO go Matt, but for this Ja*k off selling the car, I knew something was funny.
Check out the marketing of the ad, man what a sandbagger.
I wonder if he's wearing a plaid sportcoat with a straw hat exclaiming "step right up ladies & gentlemen".
I remember when Matt had the GTO it did not have a tripower & it did not seem to be the documented GOAT that I remember.
Jim Mattison at PHS says that is is a federal offense to alter documentation on a collector car & is a $10,000 fine minimum with jail time.
Hang um!
First take off the NW Legends decal though.... ;)
