Northwest Legends Club Meeting Minutes
(June 3, 2006)
MEETING OPENED:
Meeting called to order at 5:10 pm by Stefan Fafnis, President of the Northwest GTO Legends Club, at the Bison Creek in Burien.
GUESTS & NEW MEMBERS:
No new guests were introduced.
SECRETARIES REPORT:
Wally Santella gave the Secretaries Report, based on notes provided from last month’s meeting. Last month’s minutes were summarized, and details posted on the Club’s web site.
TREASURES REPORT:
Amber Engen provided the Treasures Report for this meeting. Amber announced a Beginning Balance of $2,832.54 and an ending balance of $3,170.18.
CAR TALK SESSION:
- Wally Santella is putting new rear axle bearings in his 1964 GTO.
- Mike Buzzard talked and talked about a lot of things……. He is putting new chrome bumpers on his car and chipped his car in the process and there were problems with his bumpers that he had to go back to the supplier with.
- Frank Muscutt is rebuilding his HEI distributor and is putting 373 gears in his posi rear-end.
- John Bozony finished working on his car and its running now.
- JP says “don’t buy anything from Ram-Air Restoration.
- Wally bought new upholstery (springs, pads, covers, door panels for his GTO) from Legendary Auto Interiors Ltd., out of Newark, NY, at Tiger Run.
- Someone mentioned that JIM’s Wrecking in Poulsbo just picked up a bunch of Pontiacs.
OLD BUSINESS:
1. Tom Willett talked about the upcoming Greenwood Car Show. Reminded the membership that 19 – 20 people have signed up so far. There is enough club member Pontiacs to take up both sides of part of the avenue.
2. Denny Deal talked about the need to reschedule the Kirkland Pontiac “Show & Shine” to July 8th, from 9:00 to 3:00pm. Motion was made to membership and passed.
NEW BUSINESS:
1. Lara Majors gave an update on the Rainer Run plans:
- Lara has landed additional sponsor prizes
- Still needs 2 volunteers for the Eatonville check point.
- We have been challenged by the Kia Club for total turn-out!!!!!
- Starts at 9:00am, on July 29th.
50/50 Raffle – no raffle was held.
MEETING ADJORNED:
Meeting was adjourned at 5:25 pm, by Stefan Fafnis. Next meeting will be held at the Bison Creek, at 4:00pm, on Saturday, July 1st.
