I sold my 1970 GTO about 15-16 years ago to a guy in Mooresville Indiana...it was originally a starlight black with black interior 4 spped car...it had a custom metalfleck black paintjob on it and was missing the motor and trans...would like to locate it for a possible buy back...Rob

Any chance it was a RAIV car? the story goes like this;

It just so happens that I bought a polar white 70 judge that had been left for dead...I had peeked in on this car over a very well protected gate about 15 times over a 3 month period before I could get somone to let me in and take a look...
The deal was done and I had just taken the money out of the bank. I was on the way to meet the tow truck. I aws getting a JUDGE! yeah baby! One last call to my wife on the way to pick it up. Wife said oh hey you got a fax...PHS said "NOT A JUDGE" underlined accross the bottom of the page. OH SNAP!

The PHS came back as Black 70 GTO RA IV car. But the car was polar white with all the correct Judge decals/ functional hood w/tach RA scoops/ air cleaner/rear spoiler. It looked good but it was a mirage for me. I wanted it to look better than it really did. From about 200 feet away it was not bad and then each step became more painful than the last.

The RAIV motor was gone and had been replaced with a SR.(not running.)The seller knew about the RAIV motor swap and claimed the SR was installed at a dealership to original Judge specs. She had no paperwork to support the claim.
I refused to pay the $10,500. that was originally the deal and the seller refused to lower the price..(this was about 4-5 years ago)

The short story I got was that The seller/owner was upside down and still making payments on the car because of an Ex that used the title on the car to get a loan that she still owed. the ex came from the Illinois/ Indiana area and that is why they could not be reached to confirm the Judge story.
So then No deal was made. She knew nothing of PHS and insisted that the car was a true Judge.

I dont know where it is now for sure. But I know where it was....might still be there for all I know..
If this is your car it was cloned to a polar white judge. became victim of a bad divorce settlement, and then was left out in a field with the cows.

It was badly rusted in several areas and not worth the asking price. It ended badly with the seller when I gave an honest opinion about the value/future of the car and the damage caused by poor storage over the years...(I am probably not welcome if I showed up there again)

But I may still have the PHS on this.

The events of this account are true. The long story is even more messed up than this and requires beer(s) to be fully understood.
the pontiac shack was a consulting counselor on this one. If it was not for Stefan pointing out the possible clone I may have brought it home too soon.

My car was an original 350 horse 400 4 speed car...I ran the PHS sheet on it and it was original until I f-d it up by putting a 428 in it..it was a blast to drive and had way to much gear in the 12 bolt I installed...4.56's were making the motor scream most of the time...I have found the info on the guy I sold it too...but alas he flipped it and made his money several years ago...no Ram Air IV car for sure..
