Guys/Gals,
after coming back from my Christmas vacation, I found that my 06 GTO was covered by concrete dust from the "next door" constructions, and naturaly, with the rain, it's sticking. It looks like grains of salts/sand stuck to the car. High pressure car wash did nothing, the only way to take it off is to use your nail. (it looks so awefull I wanted to cry! :(

Now, I had my better half handle the phone call to the construction General manager (I wasn't in the most pleasant mood if you know what I mean, thus better have her do it than me lol), to whom, in turn, called the Forman on site, who promptly called her back. They are going to handle the "mess", and have asked me (well her lol) to get a quote on the fix up.

Any of you can recommend a good detail or paint and body shop around the Bothell, Kirkland, Mill Creek, Snohomish area? (give or take 20 miles)

Thanks in advance for the help.

ps: Will call my insurance tomorrow to see if they have any recomendations as well.

You need to get a hold of Denny "The Real" Deal....who had a similar experience recently with his '06 GTO. If I remember right he had overspray from a commercial painter all over the car. He took it to a place in his area and they did a fantastic job. They used a removal process called claying the car to remove the overspray. I'm sure he will post a response to this but you may try to PM him through his roster link.

ok well my insurance recomended a shop in my area, so it is going to go to them, and my insurance will warranty their work. It's one expensive missap, I have taken alot of pictures, I'll try to post before and aft pictures later on. I have alot of people involved with this, since I'm not the only car who was damaged. I have my apt manager, the forman, the project manager and my insurance involved with this. I am unsure on how it happened. Probably an "accident", or maybe carelessness. I'm dealing mostly with the forman and Concrete guy, to whom I'm asking to reemburse me my deductible. I feel I'm in good hands so things should go smoothly, and soon enough she'll be sparkling in all of it's "grandeur" :). Oh and a Car Cover is in order, i'm kicking my own "deriere" for not having bought one sooner!.

Check out the article I wrote in the November Newsletter (Page 6 - Wrong Place, Wrong Time). You can access it off the the forum page under "Club Newsletters". My 06' was covered in paint overspray and I was sent to Accutint in Bellevue. The article speaks for itself. These guys did a fantasic job.

If you have them do it let me know. If all of there work is as good as mine was I want to continue to promote them.
