I have a friend just starting to build up a mild 455 and he needs some heads.
Would like to stay around 9.1 - 9.5 tops for compression...
So anything suitable and in the right price range would fit the bill.
I have an extra set, but they will be built and then the set on my 455 will be available, but I am not that far yet...
Let me know if you have anything available. He's in the Bonny Lake area...
Thanks - Brett!

FYI Brett,
With a flat top piston these heads make 7.4 to 1 comp ratio on the 455. They have 114 cc chambers. If he wants these and wants 9.5 to 1 comp he will need to use a bump piston. This is a very common practice and his machinst will have a jobber book that will identify which piston to use with a 114 cc head chamber. Personally I would look to taylor the compression at 8.5 to 8.8 to 1 for street/strip use. Mickey Thompson used those ratios with much success as I have also. All my Pontiacs are 8.5 to 1 engines and they make plenty of power as many club members can attest to. Mike

Thanks Mike, Here is Dave's email, he's very interested in talking to you about the heads and it sounds like you would have a lot of good advice for him!
(Sounds like we need to talk about 'em!
My e-mail is darnocd@aol.com I am online most of the day. I will be in town Monday and Tuesday then I am gone for a couple of days.
Let me know. Hopefully they are around 100 cc's.
Thanks for bird dogging these down for me!
Dave)
Thanks again - Brett!
