Northwest Legends Club Meeting Minutes
(December 2nd, 2006)


MEETING OPENED:

Meeting called to order at 4:55 pm by Stefan Fafnis, President of the Northwest GTO Legends Club, at the Pyramid Ale House in Seattle.

GUESTS & NEW MEMBERS:
Gary Tischer introduced his friend, “Jimmie. Ervin & Sandy Eggebrecht introduced their son and daughter.

SECRETARIES REPORT:

Wally Santella gave the September Secretaries Report. Last month’s minutes were summarized, and details posted on the Club’s web site.

TREASURES REPORT:

Amber Engen provided the Treasures Report, announcing a Beginning Balance of $6,564.53 and an ending balance of $6,038.81.

CAR TALK SESSION:

The Car Talk Session was suspended for this meeting in order to save time for the follow-on events, including officer elections, member awards, banquet and gift exchange.

OLD BUSINESS:

- Wally Santella provided a summarization of the club printer analysis, recommendation to the Board and their decision to purchase the HP 3800ND color printer. The printer was order and purchased through Rick Rosen’s Olympic Office Supply firm and the printer was subsequently delivered to the Club Secretary for use in publishing the Club’s Legend Newsletter.

NEW BUSINESS:

- Nominations were confirmed and the following Club Officers were elected by those member in presence to serve in 2008:
(1) Stefan Fafnis will serve as President.
(2) Brandon Warren will serve as Vice President
(3) Wally Santella will serve as Secretary
(4) Amber Engen will serve as Treasurer


AWARDS:

The following awards for 2006 were presented to:
(1) Member of the Year was presented to ???????
(2) Special Recognition Award was presented to Mike Santella for his leadership, coordination and sponsor contribution efforts in making the 2006 NW Muscle Car Show the most successful Club car show event ever.
(3) Special Recognition Award was presented to Lara Major for her leadership, coordination and sponsor contribution efforts that continued to make the Rainier Run both successful & critical to our Clubs goals.
(4) Volunteer of the Year Award was presented to Amber Engen in recognition of her tireless participation, energy and support for the various duties and events that have made 2006 a successful year for the Norwest GTO Legends Club.
(5) Special Appreciation Awards were presented to:
- Tom Willett for his work with the Greenwood Car Show
- Brad Barrie for his work with the Seattle Roadster Show
- Denny Deal for his work with the NW Legends Car Clinic and Annual Club Calendar
- Ann & Chuck Biestline for their hosting the annual BOP Burrito Feast.
(6) Hard Luck Award was presented to Guyle Rude for his unfortunate car fire and Dyno Engine blowup
(7) Two Cents Award was presented to Mike Buzard for always giving more than his “two cents worth”.
(8) Good Samaritan Award was presented to Gary Tischer for giving his GTO away to a stranger with a trailer.

50/50 Raffle: 50-50 raffle was held and there were two winners.

MEETING ADJORNED:
Meeting was adjourned at 5:18 PM, by Stefan Fafnis. Next meeting will be held at the Bison Creek in Burien, on Saturday, January 6, 2007, at 5:00 PM.
