CAR TALK SESSION:

The Car Talk Session was suspended for this meeting in order to save time for members to watch the Seahawks in their playoff game.

OLD BUSINESS:

- Wally Santella presented the 2006 “Peter B. Madueno” Award to Ted Knapp as recognition “For Outstanding Member Participation”. This award is based on a point system and recognized Ted’s participation in club meetings, club events, volunteering for club events, newsletter article contributions, membership in good standing in the GTOAA and in recruiting new members into the Northwest GTO Legends Club.

- Wally Santella and Stefan Fafnis lead a recognition by the attending membership of David G. Major’s sterling effort, as the Northwest’s newest technical writer for his “BOPpin at Bremerton” article which was published in the national “Legend” magazine. The membership took up collection to reward and help David with his future efforts in writing technical articles.

NEW BUSINESS:

- Mike Santella addressed the membership about an idea he has for a new event to be held at the Bison Creek this coming summer. Mike suggested to the membership that we combine our recognition of the Bison’s owner, Mike Rasmussen, and his enthusiasm for our muscle cars, with an all day “Mid-Month Show & Shine” event to be held at the Bison Creek, sometime in the middle of the month, during the good weather period of the summer. The event will include food, drink, and movies. Mike will work up more details on this idea and report back to the membership at a later date.

- Stefan Fafnis, in an effort to help those in the membership that are loyal Seahawks fans to get back to watching the playoff game with Chicago, cut the meeting short for this month..

50/50 Raffle: No 50-50 raffle was held this month.

MEETING ADJORNED:
Meeting was adjourned at 5:40 PM, by Stefan Fafnis. Next meeting will be held at the Bison Creek in Burien, on Saturday, February 3rd, 2007.
