Northwest Legends Club Meeting Minutes
(April 7th, 2007)


MEETING OPENED:

Meeting called to order at 4:15 pm by Stefan Fafnis, President of the Northwest GTO Legends Club, at the Bison Creek in Burien, WA.

GUESTS & NEW MEMBERS:


SECRETARIES REPORT:

John Pearson gave the March 07 Secretaries Report in Wally Santella’s absence. Last month’s minutes were summarized, and details posted on the Club’s web site.

TREASURES REPORT:

Amber Engen gave Treasures Report, announcing a Beginning Balance of $4,592.05 and an Ending Balance of $4,752.52. Remaining Club Calendars will continue to be sold at $5.00/calendar.

CAR TALK SESSION:

No Car Talk Session was reported.

OLD BUSINESS:

- Denny Deal addressed the membership, explaining that there are 2 to 3 different ways to layout/photograph/promote the 2008 Club Calendar. Denny will get back to the membership in May. Denny will contact Brent West, since Brent has had contact with the lady that now owns Kirkland Pontiac.

NEW BUSINESS:

- John Pearson talked about the SEMA Action Network. John explained that new bills are being in-acted to be put through House & Senate on automobiles. These bills will deal with various automobile related issues, such as exhaust emissions, window tinting, inoperable automobiles parked on your property (could be towed away by local government).

- Question was raised about Tiger Run – how many members are planning to attend?

- Denny Deal reminded the membership that he would be hosting a car clinic at his SASCO warehouse in Woodinville, on May 12th.

- Lara Majors update the membership on latest plans for this year's Rainier Run. She still needs people to man one of her checkpoints as well as some other jobs that she has. Anyone interested in helping should see the sign-up sheet.

- The idea of going back to the previous system of reminding members in February/March that dues are due, if they have not been renewed was suggested.

- Tom Willett will be managing the Greenwood Car Show again this year. See Tom if you are interested in attending/showing your car.

- John Pearson reminded the membership that next weekend is the Portland Swap Meet, April 13, 14 and 15.

- Rodney Buchington is the proud 2nd owner of a sweet, one-owner, 64 GTO HT, black&red, with 389, 3x2’s and 4 speed.

50/50 Raffle: A 50-50 raffle was held and $25 went to the Club, and $25 went to the winner, Jack Borell.

Meeting was adjourned at 4:54 PM, by Stefan Fafnis. Next meeting will be held at the Bison Creek in Burien, on Saturday, May 5th, 2007, at 4:00 PM.
