Northwest Legends Club Meeting Minutes
(March 3rd, 2007)


MEETING OPENED:

Meeting called to order at 5:05 pm by Stefan Fafnis, President of the Northwest GTO Legends Club, at the Bison Creek in Burien, WA.

GUESTS & NEW MEMBERS:
Stefan introduced his father, Lowell to the membership.

SECRETARIES REPORT:

Wally Santella gave the February 07 Secretaries Report. Last month’s minutes were summarized, and details posted on the Club’s web site.

TREASURES REPORT:

Amber Engen gave Treasurers Report, announcing a Beginning Balance of $4,012.14 and an Ending Balance of $4,592.05. Remaining Club Calendars will continued to be sold at $5.00/calendar.

CAR TALK SESSION:

- Mitch Bleitz had wiring problems stemming from his cigarette lighter.
- Bruce Morrison’s car has been laid up for quite a while now.
- Gary Major has been working on his 65 4-speed, and his interior is done.
- Brent West removed his dual quads and replaced with 780 Holly, but has been experiencing idle problems so he took it back.
- Tim Moe has been working on his 64 Tempest. He replaced his trunk pan and the piece between the window and trunk.
- Gary Tischer has completed the rebuild on his 64 engine, and is ready to install back into his car.


OLD BUSINESS:

- No old business today.

NEW BUSINESS:

- Gary Major says Rainier Run is scheduled for July 21st this year. Mike Buzzard suggests that we produce fliers and distribute to help promote the event this year. Wally and Mike Santella will call/contact other car clubs in Washington State and push for their participation in this years event.

- Mark DeCosta talked about a Car/Boat Show on July 14th, at the DeMoines Marina.

- Gary Majors talked about a race between a Corvette and a Chevelle that will be show this week on the Speed Channel, and the guy with the Chevelle looses.

- Brett West updated the membership on this years Western Washington Pontiac Show & Shine, on August 19th, at the Canyon Park Country Village.

- Tedd Knapp volunteered to hold a Fall Car Clinic at this warehouse in Sumner this year.

- Gary Major advised the membership that he can provide wiring harnesses for GTO’s, as he is now a distributor for these products.

- John Pearson says he has a CD called Silent Power, which has test results of different muffler/tailpipe combinations. John also mentioned a guy who can mount red-lined (or other colors) onto your tire for about $10/wheel. See JP if you are interested.

John Pearson auctioned his car cover which fits a 67 – 72 GTO, for $26.


50/50 Raffle: A 50-50 raffle was held.

MEETING ADJORNED:
Meeting was adjourned at 6:00 PM, by Stefan Fafnis. Next meeting will be held at the Bison Creek in Burien, on Saturday, April 7th, 2007, at 4:00 PM.
