I am still searching for a 1967 GTO convertible, please keep me in mind. I hope to get one this year or by next year. If the right one comes up, I am ready!

Thanks much for any assistance!

How much work are you looking to do and how much are you willing to pay? I have a 67 convertible, Tyrol Blue with parchment interior that is in rough shape. Body actually looks decent, but trunk floor is completely shot. Previous owner had it sitting in a barn for 14 years and the barn fell in on it. Small dent in front fender from barn beam and the beams bent the top frame. I found a replacement frame for it, but have not done any work on it yet.

Car ran when I got it about 2 years ago. It does not have the original motor, has an XH block 400 out of a 67 Pontiac Executive. I found a complete 67 YS motor and had it rebuilt. It is sitting in my garage on a motor stand. It is complete with a 7027262 carb on it (which is rare and highly sought after).

Car will not start now. I think its from sitting so long, and gunk has clogged up the fuel line. We drove it into the garage here.

Now the bad part. I've got $18,000 in the car and $5700 in the motor, so I'm needing to get about $24K to part with it. It does need work, but seems to be a pretty solid car. It will need a complete redo to make it the way you want. At a minimum you will need to (1) replace top mechanism and put a new top on the car, (2) replace the trunk floor, (3) remove and flush gas tank, (4) re-do brakes completely, (5) re-do front and rear suspension. With that you could have a decent driver, but to make it nice you will want to install the YS motor, replace the interior and have some bodywork done to it.

Thanks for the inside track to your car/project. I will keep this in mind, yet am seeking not this size of a project at this time. If you were closer to NW I would come take a look to consider also, this vehicle is in Texas?

Thanks
