Anybody have some space and a willing ness to teach me some bodywork techniques? I've been reading books and perusing websites, but I find that having hands-on instruction is where I learn best.

My '67 has lots of body work that needs to be done and I've got very limited space. I've got some cheap Taiwaneese body dollies and hammers as well as a MiG welder on loan.

I'd be willing to cart parts and tools someplace to learn from anyone that knows more than me (just about everyone) about how to pull the dents out of pices like this:

Hi Kendal... well, I'm working on a project car right now, that as soon as we get it finished, for paint, I'll be selling to the friend that's helping me with it. I have quite a few door dings, and a couple of good dents to fix, and if we can get together on a time Wednesdays or week-ends, your more than welcome to come over, get some tips, and practice, and if you bring a few parts... we can see what we can do on them as well.

I'm just in Federal Way... let me know...

Kendall, There is a standing invitation for you if you ever want to sit in on a Saturday or Sunday over at stately Santella Manor in Seatac. We should be up and rolling in about a month. 8)

Fantastic! Between you and Brett, I might just get this beast into shape. :)

Thanks for the invite! I'll check back next month to see how things are going.

Kendall,
I would be able to coach you on yor repairs, if you need any more help? The only problem is that I am in Olympia. I have worked in a restoration shop for years and have rebuild everything from 1929 Model A roadster, 1934 Pontiac, 1958, 1969,1973 Corvettes, Austin Healey, Jaguars, Mercedes, Bentley and AC Cobras this is just a small list of cars completed. I don't work in a bodyshop anymore but I am working on my 67 GTO at home.

Very cool!!! I'm almost to the point of getting her on the road. (Just the brakes to rebuild, the taillaights to install, the radiator to hook up, the trans cooler to mount, and the exhaust system to install... nothing much!) Then maybe I can *drive* it down and we can look it over together.

I really appreciate all the offers to help! I lost track of all my car buddies when I moved up here and the crowd I hang with now, present company excluded, has no interest. It's like talking to a brick wall. :-/ I am SO glad I'e hooked up with you guys!
