I love being in a GTO again! MY 1969 GTO has some type of grounding problem. Does anyone out there know what the proper grounding points are for this year of GTO? My goat has a ground from frame to right front fender and engine to fire wall. I have searched high and low for a diagram that shows where the proper grounding points are at for the car. The only way I am able to get back turn signals is to ground each socket individually. Front signals do not work at all. The wires under the dash have been raped by previous owner. I have ordered new wiring through Gary of TAG. Ideas? My email is ghull1954@comcast.net Thanks for any help you can give me.

I'm no electrical expert for sure,...but your grounds are right ....inspect & make sure there clean, tight....you could get a wiring diagram & spend alot of time chasing, but with the new harness coming, that will probably do it...g.

On the tail lights, they are grounded to the body. Make sure the nuts are tight, and if that doesn't work. Take a ground strap and ground the housing separate with the ground strap. I had this problem with my 66, lights work great now. Haven't had problems with the 69 thou, good luck.

Thanks for the input guys. Been a shade tree mechanic most of my life while traveling in the Army. Still feel like a kid at times:) I will use your ideas.
