Here it is,
My latest and greatest. I found this a few months ago and have wanted it every since. This car is a 82,532 mile car that has been in door stored all it's life and hardly ever driven in the rain. NO RUST and no major dents. PHS docs show a tri-power, M21, 3.90 posi with ralley gauge cluster, reverb, ride and handling, TI ignition, wood wheel, wood shift knob, no console but one's been added, no PS or PB but they've been added, also added are underhood and trunk lights. Montero Red with black interior, (now the Royal Bob will know why I bought the headrest seats) and there are a few other nice little options like quick steering that musta been removed when the power steering was added. The power steering was added by the seller but everything else listed as "added" is believed to have been added at the dealer.
Everything from the PHS is either on the car or in a box except for the original "WS" code block, the trips are in my garage now. The car came with several extra parts including two sets of heads, a set of 1968 "16"s and a nice set of 1970 "13"s. Not only did I get the original tri-power complete with the car but also got two "torker" (one edlebrock the other holley") intakes.
Unfortunitely, the HO may have to go now in favor of this nice '66. Look on for a couple pics.

dirty interior, but this is all original stuff,
"David" took very good care of his baby for over 30 years, caught in the rain a couple times he came back and immediately wipe it off.
Hat's to David for keeping the Legend alive and much appriciation for giving me the chance to bring it back to life.
If it's ready by Tiger Run 2003, he's graciously accepted to drive it down for me.

the engine as is, it's a '67 XH 335hp with 670 heads, Holley dominator and aluminum pistons in it, low miles on rebuild.
Could use a "WS" coded 389 built within Jan, Feb, Mar of 1966, anyone know of one?
Yes Gary, another Holley double pumper in my garage ;)

Bruce, you mean like this one? Why, I guess the Holley is just that. Not sure what I'm going to do with it yet though. It would probably go good with the Holley double pump on the car right now.
I'm sure this thing will clean up nicely huh.

Is this from Alan Neary? Or Marc Swearingen>????? :-X ;D
Hmmm, doesn't look like a holley street dominator intake to me

Bruce,
It says Holley right beside the thermostat housing and Street Dominator on the passenger side front intake port. It's a dominator alright. Showing a little age but definitely a H S D. I just added the Holley double pump 750 carb and an inch spacer to it tonight, looks killer. Too bad the carb needs total rebuild. So what's the difference between the Holley Dominator and the Torker intakes? They look almost identical. Also, I ended up with a set of 1968 "16" heads and a set of 1970 "13" heads. Anyone know much about these besides what the book shows?

Bill,
Thanks, I found this car after a guy at a gas station told me about it. I was filling up my black convert when he came over and started talking. I went to check it out and was told the car really wasn't for sale but they mentioned a price anyway. I looked it over, not finding any rust, I made a quick check with PHS and found it to be a nicely optioned car. I kept this one under my hat for several months and eventually struck a deal and brought the car home. It's lived down on Marine View Dr for the last 30 years nicely stored in a garage and babied all it's life. Babied though in this case didn't mean it was enjoyed. "David" played with this car most it's early life with street performance stuff, always looking for the 'edge', so I ended up benifitting from that as he kept most everything from the car and the 'experimental parts' with different heads and intakes because I ended up getting all his vintage performance parts with the car. Also included is a complete set of slotted mags right from the 70s with wide street (almost slicks) tires on them. My friend Kevin is going to use them on his '66 for a while. He's cleaned one up already, looks like new :D

Nice score Al! But it seems we may need to do an intervention... you seem to have a GTO additcion?
Al, please step away from the GTO!
Now, I can help you with this... I won't kid you...it's not going to be easy, but just by handing one of them over to me, is the First step to recovery! It's ok... one step at a time... I'm here for you! Just hand me the key's....
OH, damn... And I had you almost reaching into your pocket too!
Well, can't blame a Pontiac Guy for trying!
Nice score anyway... Lol...

You guys are too funny. Hehehehe I'd be worried but I know this addiction is in all of us. I just got to remember that I'm not suposed to get a GTO for each of you. Hehhehehehe
You know you're addicted when:
You have covered parking for 4 cars and your daily drivers are parked outside.
You're looking for additional covered parking, and not for your daily drivers. Read above.
You buy another GTO and tell your wife it's for her. (ya right)
You're going to cantral Oregon to visit family and you can't wait to visit Marc Neary's shop in Dufur along the way.
Any others you guys/gals can think of?
Addicted? Nah, not me. :D
I got an email from a total stranger tonight (maybe you did too) looking to sell his 1967 GTO. He's in Oregon, I kept his email if anyone is interested. No price listed.
