OLD BUSINESS:

- RAINIER RUN: Lara Major still needs two more volunteers for two check points. She stressed the fact that this years run will take a different route because of the road work that resulted for this Winter’s storm damage. Lara says she has lined up a lot of sponsors, prizes and this years route will stop at two different car shows along the way.

- MUSCLE CAR MEET: Mike Santella talked about adding 4 new categories this year, including; 53-83 Corvette, 84-2007 Corvette, 64-74 GTO, 04-06 GTO, 67-81 Firebird, 82-07 Firebird, 64-73 Mustang, 74-07 Mustang, 67-81 Camaro, and 82-07 Camaro. Wally Santella will be contacting the Seattle Times about including a small description of the show in the next Thursday Car Section. ”Russ” of KVI will announce the show if we provide a Flyer.

- Mike Santella made a suggestion to the membership that the Club commit funds to acquire some signage to be used at various club related events, including the Muscle Car Meet. This would also include some traffic cones to be used to manage entry and exit to the Muscle Car Meet. Mike will do some investigation and report back to the membership at our next meeting.

- LANCE LAMBERT SHOW – Tom Willett gave an update to the membership on the Lance Lambert Show, which was held in Issaquah last month: (1) There were 150 cars in attendance and (2) 16 GTOs from our Club were in this show.

- Tom Willett also went to the Greenwood Car Show and observed that there were less cars then last year, but a good crowd.

NEW BUSINESS:

- Gary Major addressed the membership again on the subject of fuel mixtures and some of the activity that currently going with oil. Gary says they are leaving out the zinc phosphate and he explained what to do: (1) run synthetic but this may cause oil leaks, (2) convert to a “roller engine”, but this is expensive, (3) add an 50/50 mixture of EOS and Marvel Mystery, and (4) consider Kendal Oil, who have a product called “Green Goup”, which may be helpful. Gary will investigate this and report back to the membership.

- Gary Major made a suggestion to the membership that we hold a symposium or Fall Car Clinic, to focus a discussion on gas additives, oil industry activity, and electrical systems. The membership will consider this suggestion and plan for this fall.
