Need to make a new fuel line from pump to carb on my 66 goat to fit the modification. What would be the best material to make the fuel line out of so i do not have to worry about vapor lock or anything else?

Should the line be made of steel or aluminum?

What is the consensus?

thanks,

Steel or stainless. I usually buy steel brake line. It comes with inverted flare ends and nuts. Just cut and reflare after bending radiuses. Aluminum is prone to wear and stress fractures.

I have to agree with Mike, steel is the way to go. These are readily available at your local NAPA store in various lengths.

Thanks for your input. Steel it is for the fuel line.
