Bad News:
Looks like it just isn't in the cards this year for me to attend Tiger Run. My house is on the market again and I had to choose whether or not to spend the little money I have left on Tiger Run or parts for the car. :P

Good News:
This means I can concentrate on getting my car ready for local events like Raineer Run and other shows. (and I don't have to sweat driving an untested car six hours to Bend.)

Anybody have a date for Raineer Run?

Not sure on the exact day, but sounds like in mid-to-late July.

Mr. Kendall,
We have got to find a way to get you to Tiger Run!
Can you get any time off before that memorial day holiday weekend??

I was planning on taking Friday before off, but have been informed that I can't get paid for Monday if I take the previous Friday off. Also cash is tight. I've set aside some money for working on the car but to do that I had to withdraw it from our bank account to keep it from being spent on things like food and bills. (phah!) :P

Things are rather dire on the finance front. If the house doesn't sell within the first month or two I'll probably have to hand my commuter car over to the bank and make different payment options on the house. (I'm trying to keep my A+ credit rating so that I can buy a new place sometime in the near future.)

At this time, unless things change, I'd rather stay at home and wrench on the car than sweat each penny in a place I'm supposed to be having fun. I'll keep you up to date if things change.

Consider coming down Friday after work. I have a room at the Riverside. You can stay there, no charge, I'm already paying for it anyway, just bring a sleeping bag. If the Lemans isn't up to driving down there, consider hitching ride with somebody else or take the high mpg rig. The room will be stacked to the ceiling with cases of beer. That's all you need ;D
You gotta, abso-freaking-lutely, go to Tiger Run

I think whoever made that policy that if you take Friday off, you don't get paid for a national holiday must be Saddam's best buddy or something. How evil >:(

Rainier Run will be on July 26 this year, a Saturday. It will start at 09:00- 11:00 from Enumclaw, Wa. and end at Orting, Wa. as it did last year. Hope you can attend. Lara is working "overtime" already on this, and is already recruiting checkpoint people. I'd like to put my bid in for the Morton checkpoint if there's an opening Mitch?
