Hi there:

I'm wondering if anyone's bought an exhaust system from "Torque Tech Exhaust." They bill themselves as exhaust specialists and sell 2, 2.5, 3 & 3.5" full exhaust systems. If no one has bought anything from them, has anyone heard anything about them?

I'm thinking of getting either a 3" or 3.5" system for my car, which currently has a 2.5" system.

If anyone is curious, their site is as follows:

www.torquetechexh.com (http://www.torquetechexh.com)

BTW, the site sucks.

HI GPMOD,
I have the 2.5 inch system from Torque Tech on my ’70 GTO. The tailpipes are pretty good and fit nicely. The headpipes were a bit disappointing as they did not fit the under-car countours as well as I would have hoped. I have less ground clearance than I used to as my exhaust headpipe hangs lower than the original one did. That was my experience, but I don’t know about how their stuff fits a GP.

Well, I kinda expect the system won't fit quite as well as something that's been custom built. I think the engine is set lower and a little further back than a GTO. I know I don't have great clearance now, even with a custom 2.5" system.

Hi GP Mod, I agree but the headpipes should have fit better, especially where the crossmember has been designed for the pipes to be tucked up under there. The install I'm referring to was with stock RA manifolds too. It's more of an issue with headers of course. I'm going to headers soon and am keeping the tailpipes at 2.5 but going with a 3 inch headpipe, I think I will go custom on this

Well, despite the clearance warning I've got a 3.5" system on order. I'll let everyone know how it fits. Maybe I'll even post a pic or two.
