I was seeing this car show last week and I think this guys name was Mr. Chemist well he said after painting your car/truck to wait about 2-3 months to wax it so that all the solvents can come out of the paint with the sun and your paint job will last longer. I have a 1993 GMC truck that Trailmaster customized for the dealership that I bought it from and I can say that I didn't wax for at least 2 months and the faded paint job still looks real good I don't know what they did but that puts my truck at 15 years old and she looks sweet this was something I didn't know till last week just sharing some info with you members. Have a Great Weekend! God Bless!

The best way to tell if your new paint is ready for wax is when the water stops beading up on the surface then all the solvent has evaporated and now can be waxed,If you wax it to early it will trap all the solvent in and cause the paint to die back or blister. This is not true with new cars as they are baked at 300 degrees and are fully cured,in the body shop they can only bake to 160 or your car will melt to the ground after it caught on fire.

Come on what's a little melted, dripping plastic and fire umong Men anyway Kelly hahahha
I think if someone could do that in the booth without the booth catching on fire that would be a fun ass time!!!
Of course don't forget to drain the fluids. There have been a couple customers in my time at the body shops where I would have liked to have done that to. Naw then that darn Karma will come and what a bitch that would be.
